Fue una salida con amigos y decidimos ir al embalse de La Mariposa. Desde hace tiempo siempre me salían videos por tik tok del lugar, y las personas que te enseñaban y dirigían el recorrido. El lugar fue perfecto para esta actividad. Habíamos querido realizar esto hace muchísimos meses atrás, pero nunca se daba la oportunidad. No coincidíamos en nuestros horarios y el factor tiempo siempre nos jugaba en contra, hasta que finalmente se dio la ocasión perfecta.
It was an outing with friends and we decided to go to La Mariposa reservoir. For a long time I always got tik tok videos of the place, and the people who taught you and led the tour. The place was perfect for this activity. We had wanted to do this many months ago, but never had the opportunity. We didn't agree on our schedules and the time factor always worked against us, until finally the perfect opportunity came along.
Llegar hasta el embalse nos tomó dos horas, pero el recorrido valió toda la pena. Al llegar, nos atendieron muy bien; fueron muy amables y el lugar era sumamente accesible. Las tarifas eran bastante razonables: media hora por 5$ o una hora por 10$. Dado que era nuestra primera vez, elegimos la opción de media hora para probar la experiencia.
It took us two hours to get to the reservoir, but the journey was well worth it. Upon arrival, we were treated very well; they were very friendly and the place was very accessible. The rates were quite reasonable: half an hour for $5 or one hour for $10. Since it was our first time, we chose the half-hour option to try out the experience.

Kayaking in the reservoir was amazing; the tranquility of the water and the natural surroundings made us feel at peace and in harmony with nature. Even though it was our first time, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed every moment.

During our kayaking adventure, we had the opportunity to see some local birds and enjoy the scenery surrounding the reservoir. The natural beauty of the place truly captivated us and made us appreciate even more the decision to venture into this activity.
Además, fue muy interesante aprender a coordinar nuestros movimientos y trabajar en equipo para dirigir el kayak. Esto fortaleció aún más nuestra amistad y nos dejó recuerdos inolvidables. Al final de la media hora, todos estábamos de acuerdo en que había sido una experiencia fantástica y que definitivamente queríamos repetirla. Podíamos colocarnos en el kayak de dos personas o de una sola, nosotros éramos cuatro y decidimos ir de manera individual.
It was also very interesting to learn how to coordinate our movements and work together as a team to steer the kayak. This further strengthened our friendship and left us with unforgettable memories. At the end of the half-hour, we all agreed that it had been a fantastic experience and that we definitely wanted to do it again. We could place ourselves in the two-person or one-person kayak, there were four of us and we decided to go individually.
Lo mejor de todo es que queremos volver a hacerlo este año, y esta vez quiero llevar a mi esposo para que viva esta linda experiencia. Lamentablemente, el día que teníamos reservado para esta actividad, mi esposo recibió una llamada de la oficina y tuvo que asistir, por lo que no pudo acompañarnos.
The best part is that we want to do it again this year, and this time I want to take my husband to experience this beautiful adventure. Unfortunately, the day we had reserved for this activity, my husband received a call from the office and had to attend, so he couldn't join us.

I'm sure he will love it as much as I and my friends did. The feeling of gliding over the water, the calm, and the beauty of the surroundings make it a unique experience. We are already planning our next outing and hope to enjoy it together. May this 2025, allow us to live many beautiful experiences, to know new places, to adventure, and to live fully. In the end, what remains are the beautiful memories of what we did and where we were happy.
