Year-ender Deep Cleaning the Bathroom and Under the Sink

Hi, Hive friends! Before the Year 2024 will end, I did some deep cleaning in the bathroom and under the sink. I am really happy to do this since I am not a fan of cleaning. I mean, when I was younger and my mom was alive, I never did a lot of huge cleaning at home. Now that I am a mom, it is my responsibility to clean the house with the kids.

Our house is not perfect as my husband said, we will do a lot of fixing in the future, hopefully, when we have money.

Deep cleaning the bathroom

Yesterday, I washed the walls and behind the white cabinet. I also washed the baby bath and the toys of the kids. Sad to say, there were several molds behind the white cabinet. My husband helped me to move it. The walls with dark spots need to be repainted in the future. It took me more than 2 hours just to wash this area.

I don't have the before shots because it looked so awful. I am so embarrassed. In the next 6 months, I'll make sure to clean this area again.

The shower area has always been washed every week but this time, I deep-cleaned the barrier/door of the shower.

Back in the Philippines, I never used gloves to wash the dishes or clean the bathroom. I just use my bare hands. Living here in France, my hands are now having a problem with the cold weather and water. I did some cleaning here a few months ago but I never used gloves. My hands are getting dry and having wounds. To do deep cleaning, it is important to use gloves. My first time to use it. It's protecting me from hot water and bleach.

Deep cleaning under the sink

A few years ago, I really had no idea how to organize and clean under the sink. I felt so disgusted by how disorganized it was. I checked on YouTube and some reels on how to organize and clean under the sink. I just need to buy an organizer/shelf and I have to make use of the space. My husband bought this sorting shelf under the sink. I requested it.

It is a game changer because of this simple shelf, I can use all the space up and down. I can hide some things behind the bottles. It looks less cluttered now. I can easily grab some things under the sink. I make use of the ice cream plastic boxes to put in the sponges, soaps, and detergent soaps for the dishwashing machine.

I didn't take a before shot because it was seriously chaotic. It was such a relief. My husband never thought that a cheap sorting shelf could make a difference. We bought it during the Black Friday sale for 6 Euros. He can see that all spaces (up and down) are greatly occupied but we still have a little space to fill in.

I am happy to end this year with deep cleaning sessions. My goal for 2025 is to be more organized inside the house.

By the start of 2025, let's do some deep cleaning in different parts of our home.
