¡Hola, chicos! ¡Feliz año nuevo! Espero que lo hayan recibido con mucho amor y en compañía de sus seres queridos ❤️

Yo también les contaré como lo recibí, pero más adelante en otro post. Hoy quiero contarles un poco del último mes del año y lo que significó para mí.

Diciembre fue una montaña rusa, honestamente. La verdad fue un poco estresante y el menos navideño de toda mi vida, pero así como viví momentos y emociones complicadas, también la pasé bien y viví cosas muy agradables.

I'll tell you how I received it too, but more on that later in another post. Today I want to tell you a little bit about the last month of the year and what it meant to me.

December was a roller coaster, honestly. The truth is that it was a bit stressful and the least Christmas-like of my life, but even though I experienced some complicated moments and emotions, I also had a good time and experienced some very nice things.

Me reuní con personas con las que tenía tiempo sin compartir, conocí a Bugs Bunny (el conejito) 😁 , subí de nivel en el escalafón de la preparación de hallacas, porque esta vez hice la masa, fajé y amarré, y como plus hice bollitos y la ensalada de pollo. Me sentí como una adulta de verdad 🤣🤣

I met people I hadn't shared with for a long time, I met Bugs Bunny (the bunny) 😁 , I went up a level in the hallacas preparation ladder, because this time I made the dough, fajéed and tied, and as a plus I made bollitos and chicken salad. I felt like a real adult 🤣🤣🤣

Les explico a los que no son venezolanos. Las hallacas (plato navideño) se suelen hacer en familia. El guiso lo suelen hacer las abuelas o en general la persona que mejor cocina en la casa, luego están los que pican aliños y vegetales, los que limpian las hojas, los que amarran, los que arman la hallaca... Hay personas que nunca suben de nivel y se quedan haciendo una cosa por el resto de su vida o al menos mientras vivan en esa casa 🤣

Let me explain to those of you who are not Venezuelan. Hallacas (Christmas dish) are usually made in the family. The stew is usually made by the grandmothers or in general by the person who cooks best in the house, then there are those who chop seasonings and vegetables, those who clean the leaves, those who tie, those who assemble the hallaca.... There are people who never go up a level and stay doing one thing for the rest of their life or at least as long as they live in that house 🤣

Yo solía limpiar hojas nada más, pero este año fue muy diferente, de manera forzosa pero igual genial. Y digo de manera forzosa porque este año hice hallacas con mi madrastra el propio 24 de diciembre, y ella tuvo que salir por cuestiones de trabajo, obviamente no estaba en sus planes, fue una total sorpresa, pero me dejó a mi y a algunas personas más haciendo las hallacas para que estuvieran listas para la cena.

I used to just clean leaves, but this year it was very different, in a forced way but still great. And I say forced because this year I made hallacas with my stepmother on December 24, and she had to go out for work, obviously it was not in her plans, it was a total surprise, but she left me and some other people making the hallacas so they would be ready for dinner.

Fue bastante agotador, debo admitir, pero al final el resultado fue satisfactorio. Creo que fue el perfecto entrenamiento para cuando tenga mi casa y me toque hacerlas a mí 😁

Por otro lado, con mi mamá hicimos hicimos un quesillo (flan) de chocolate super delicioso, aunque luego me arrepentí de comer tanto porque soy intolerante a la lactosa y la pasé mal esa madrugada en el baño, si me puedes entender 🤣

It was quite exhausting, I must admit, but in the end the result was satisfying. I think it was the perfect training for when I have my own house and it's my turn to make them 😁

On the other hand, with my mom we made we made a super delicious chocolate quesillo (flan), although later I regretted eating so much because I'm lactose intolerant and I had a hard time that early morning in the bathroom, if you can understand me 🤣

Pero en general, comí divino en diciembre, compartí con personas maravillosas, hice cosas nuevas, acaricié animalitos, y cerré el año de la forma que más quería 🩷

Aunque luego de tantos excesos toca bajar unos cuantos kilitos de más que subí 😁, pero nada que no se pueda lograr.

Espero que tú diciembre haya sido igual de genial ☺️

But overall, I ate divine in December, shared with wonderful people, did new things, petted little animals, and closed the year the way I most wanted to 🩷.

Although after so many excesses it's time to lose a few extra kilos that I gained 😁, but nothing that can't be achieved.
