Good simple life in Paraguay

Hey Hive, long time no see 😱

For the moment being I have stopped moving around and decided to settle down a bit since I've found a nice place to live in. It doesn't have the highest comfort but it is extremely cheap, which allows me to live without stress about paying. Also the people here are nice and don't make fuss about anything overall it's super relaxed.

I'll show you a bit around my new room

Truly old-school but with lots of lighting

I sleep in tent so I can rest from the mosquitoes

Being steady in one place has led me to put my hands back in the soil and start growing some plants. It's not the right season for much sowing so I'm just buying veggies that still have their roots on them at the market, eating the leaves and replanting them. I also have many sources of organic matter nearby to feed the soil and it's been super fun to do urban gardening.

I have two little spots to work on, this one is outside my room.

And this one at the entrance of the house. Little room compared to back in the forest but I'm just glad to see things grow

I still have all this room to grow stuff on but it needs cleaning.

I was previously living in a smaller room in the same house, without much space for anything, so now that this one became available I immediately moved in as it has potential for many things. Also it's further from the other rooms so I can rehearse my music without worrying disturbing the neighbors (too much).

My little "studio", where I record with my phone. Hopefully I'll be able to buy a decent mic soon.

The journey to this point has been filled with all kinds of experiences, pleasant and unpleasant, but overall a sense of gratefulness has led the way. I've decided to return to Hive as I'm having more time available to sit down and write. I hope to share music soon though I'm pretty demanding on myself about the quality and still haven't been able to make recordings that satisfy me enough to share, but I'm happy with how much I'm improving thanks to asking more of myself.

I have many things to say about Paraguay, specially Ciudad del Este which is such a magical and abundant place. People here mainly speak their native language which is called Guaraní. Also they have a lot of herbal knowledge as they daily drink tereré which is ice cold yerba mate often infused with local medicinal plants.

My tereré equipment.

Being a frontier city that connects both with Brasil and Argentina there is always a lot of movement and you get to meet a diverse array of people. Many kids here speak three languages: Guaraní, Spanish, and Portuguese, which is pretty amazing.

I've made many friends around here which have taught me things about culture and life. While I often miss the forest, I have no doubt I needed to get out of there to experience how vast this world is, and how ignorant I was of it's ways. Maybe someday I'll return with much more wisdom and knowledge to do things better.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the update and that you've all been doing great. Till next time 🤜🤛
