Ayer fue la penúltima clase en el curso de pintura para niños. Cómo lo he venido comentando en post anteriores, voy a dejar de trabajar en la academia como he venido haciendo desde octubre del año pasado. Los motivos son varios y de eso también les he hablado.
Los niños de la academia ya salieron de vacaciones, pero yo me comprometí que este nivel lo terminaba a mediados del mes de julio. Así que está fue la penúltima de mis clases.
Para esta clase había planeado hacer un mural con los niños pero como no contaba con todos los materiales necesarios, me tocó cambiar la planificación y bueno, decidí armar unos pequeños lienzos para que ellos pintaran una obra y así terminamos este largo ciclo con broche de oro.

Yesterday was the penultimate class in the painting course for kids. As I have been saying in previous posts, I am going to stop working at the academy as I have been doing since October last year. There are several reasons and I have also told you about them.
The children of the academy are already on vacation, but I committed myself to finish this level in the middle of July. So this was the penultimate of my classes.
For this class I had planned to make a mural with the children but since I did not have all the necessary materials, I had to change the planning and well, I decided to put together some small canvases for them to paint a work of art and thus we ended this long cycle with a flourish. and that's how we ended this long cycle with a golden clasp.
Llegué a la academia bien temprano y a los pocos instantes llegó una de mis alumnas. Nos quedamos un rato esperando a ver si aparecían otros niños y a lo que eran casi las 10 y media envié un mensaje para saber si iban a asistir el resto de los niños.
Solo iba a asistir una niña más y el resto no iban a ir, cosa que me pareció bien triste porque íbamos a trabajar con lo pequeños lienzos. Pero bueno, ahí comencé a trabajar con la niña que ya estaba ahí.
I arrived at the academy very early and a few moments later one of my students arrived. We waited for a while to see if other children would show up and at almost 10:30 I sent a message to find out if the rest of the children were going to attend.
Only one more child was going to attend and the rest were not going to go, which I found very sad because we were going to work with the small canvases. But then I started to work with the girl who was already there.
Había guardado en mi teléfono unos cuantos diseños para que ellos escogieran libremente cual les gustaría trabajar. Ella escogió hacer una playa, así que le hice una mezcla de azules para el cielo.
Como aún no tenemos color blanco para trabajar, me tocó hacer la degradación con un tono piel. Por fortuna se veía bien. Yo le iba indicando como dar las pinceladas y ella lo iba trabajando poco a poco.
I had saved a few designs on my phone for them to freely choose which one they would like to work with. She chose to do a beach, so I did a mix of blues for the sky.
Since we don't have white to work with yet, I got to do the degradation with a skin tone. Fortunately it looked good. I was showing her how to do the brush strokes and she was working on it little by little.
Después de pintar el cielo y algunas nubes, hizo la arena con una mezcla de color piel y marrón. En eso llegó la otra alumna y rápidamente comenzamos a trabajar porque ya iban a ser las 11. Nuestra clase termina a las 12 y la idea es que lograra terminarlo.
Ella escogió un paisaje colorido con cactus. Estaba algo escéptica a la hora de agregar los colores pero a medida que avanzaba iba ganando confianza en lo que hacía.
After painting the sky and some clouds, she made the sand with a mixture of skin and brown. At that moment the other student arrived and we quickly started working because it was already 11 o'clock.
She chose a colorful landscape with cactus. She was a little skeptical about adding the colors but as she progressed she gained confidence in what she was doing.
Cuando la primera niña terminó de hacer la playa y las olas, le di un tiempo para que merendara en lo que secaba esta primera capa de pintura. Ella estaba súper orgullosa de lo que había hecho hasta ahora.
When the first girl finished making the beach and waves, I gave her some time to snack while she dried this first coat of paint. She was super proud of what she had done so far.
Con la pequeña hice los mismo, cuando terminó el cielo dejamos que se secara y aprovechó de merendar. Ya luego continuó trabajando en unas montañas que estaban en la parte inferior.
Habían algunos tonos que no teníamos pero resolvimos hacerlo con otros.
With the little one I did the same, when the sky was finished we let it dry and she took the opportunity to have a snack. Then she continued working on some mountains that were at the bottom.
There were some shades that we didn't have but we decided to do it with others.
En la clase pasada ella no estuvo y el salón se sentía súper callado, pero esta vez volvimos a la normalidad, solo se escuchaba ella con sus ocurrencias, cuentos y hasta canciones. 😂
In the last class she wasn't there and the room felt super quiet, but this time we were back to normal, only she could be heard with her witticisms, stories and even songs. 😂
Faltaban 20 minutos para terminar la clase y ya ellas estaban dando los último detalles. Nos fue bastante bien con el tiempo, aunque yo pensaba que demorarían dos clases en hacerlo todo.
Pero trabajaron súper bien y lograron cumplir antes de tiempo.
It was 20 minutes before the end of the class and they were already putting the finishing touches on it. We did pretty well with the time, although I thought it would take two classes to get everything done.
But they worked super well and managed to get it done ahead of time.
Sus pinturas quedaron hermosas, la verdad ambas niñas han avanzado muchísimo, aunque todavía hay ciertos detalles que corregir, pero en comparación a sus inicios han logrado mucho.
Me alegra haber dejado en ellas un conocimiento en el arte y que las deje con buenas bases. Les comenté también que esta era la penultima clase que les daría y ellas se pusieron un poco tristes.
Pero acordamos para la próxima semana hacer un pequeño compartir, ya luego les cuento como nos fue en la última clase. ♥
Their paintings were beautiful, the truth is that both girls have advanced a lot, although there are still some details to correct, but compared to their beginnings they have achieved a lot.
I am glad to have left them with a knowledge of art and that I left them with a good foundation. I also told them that this was the penultimate class I would give them and they were a little sad.
But we agreed for next week to do a little sharing, and then I'll tell you how the last class went. ♥
