Desde que era niña en mi hogar mi abuela y mi madre me decían que la ropa blanca cuando se debe guardar por largo tiempo es mejor hacerlo envuelta en papel azul oscuro, pero no cualquier papel tiene que ser opaco y liso, en Argentina se llama papel afiche, pero acá en España realmente no se como le llaman, creo que papel poster, pero el caso es que debe ser sólo azul, opaco y oscuro.

Necesitaba eso en específico, por lo que me dirigí a una tienda muy grande, que supuestamente tiene de todo, una tienda de chinos.

Por supuesto tiene tantas cosas que jamás termino de recorrer los pasillos y las decoraciones cambian constantemente. Traté de buscar en los pasillos de artesanías, pero en el camino miré hacia arriba y veo estas hermosas decoraciones. Bajo la vista y veo estas bolsas tan vistosas para la playa. Me preguntaba si iba a encontrar el papel azul o me llevaría otra cosa. También agregaron una muestra de una mesa con distintos objetos. Me gusta mirar todo a mi alrededor.

Ever since I was a child, my grandmother and mother told me that when storing white clothes for a long time, it is best to wrap them in dark blue paper, but not just any paper will do. It has to be opaque and smooth. In Argentina, it is called papel afiche, but here in Spain, I don't really know what it is called. I think it is papel poster, but the point is that it must be blue, opaque and dark.

I needed that specific type, so I went to a very large shop that supposedly has everything, a Chinese shop.

Of course, it has so many things that I never finish walking through the aisles, and the decorations are constantly changing. I tried to look in the craft aisles, but on the way I looked up and saw these beautiful decorations. I looked down and saw these colourful beach bags. I wondered if I would find the blue paper or if I would take something else. They also added a display of a table with different objects. I like to look at everything around me.

Entrando a los pasillos donde están las decoraciones de tortas, bolsas de regalos, también había cajas de todo tipo y para todos los gustos. Lo que guardar en ellas podría variar desde bisutería hasta simplemente ser una decoración en algún lugar de la casa.

Se puede encontrar muchos artículos de madera, para diferentes trabajos. Esta sección sirve tanto para decoraciones como para artículos que pueden pedir en la escuela. Había cartulinas en distintos materiales y papeles, pero papeles adhesivos o brillosos como para envolver regalos. Y tampoco era lo que buscaba porque el papel debe ser sin dibujos, sino sólo azul. En medio de todo aquello había unos simpáticos búhos, que quizá a mi amiga @elbuhito le gusten.

Entering the aisles where the cake decorations and gift bags are, there were also boxes of all kinds and for all tastes. What you could store in them could vary from jewellery to simply being a decoration somewhere in the house.

You can find many wooden items for different projects. This section is for both decorations and items that can be requested at school. There were cardboards in different materials and papers, but adhesive or shiny papers for wrapping gifts. And it wasn't what I was looking for either because the paper should be plain, just blue. In the middle of all that were some cute owls, which my friend @elbuhito might like.

Pensé que si iba a la zona de artículos escolares podría conseguir lo que buscaba, pero a cambio encontré estos libros de juegos para la mente, me recordó cuando tenía clases de lógica en la secundaria y hacía unos ejercicios, pero mucho más complicados. Al lado de esta sección estaban los libros para pintar mandalas, con distintas formas, sobre todo de animales. Deben ser muy relajantes.

En el mismo pasillo había unas decoraciones para el hogar hermosas, algunas con espejos. Pasar por esta zona o visitar tiendas de decoración, aunque no compre nada, sólo para ver, me encanta, más que ver ropa y zapatos. Sí, soy una mujer muy rara.

Pueden ver había cuadros pequeños para decorar paredes de ambientes pequeños y otros cuadros más grandes, con distintos estilos y motivos, para todos los gustos. Realmente se encuentra de todo lo que uno quiera, pero seguía pensando en el papel azul.

I thought that if I went to the school supplies section, I might find what I was looking for, but instead I found these mind game books, which reminded me of when I had logic classes in secondary school and did exercises, but much more complicated ones. Next to this section were books for painting mandalas, with different shapes, especially animals. They must be very relaxing.

In the same aisle, there were some beautiful home decorations, some with mirrors. I love walking through this area or visiting home decor shops, even if I don't buy anything, just to look, more than looking at clothes and shoes. Yes, I'm a very strange woman.

You can see there were small pictures to decorate the walls of small rooms and other larger pictures, with different styles and motifs, for all tastes. You can really find everything you want, but I kept thinking about the blue paper.

Muy cerca estaba el pasillo donde se pueden ver muebles para distintas partes de la casa y muchos artículos relacionados con amueblar o decorar ambientes diversos. Había unos rollos de papeles, pero tampoco era lo que buscaba.

En las esquinas de los pasillos, a veces puedo ver estos atrapasueños que me fascinan y siempre hay nuevos con diseños espectaculares.

Nearby was the aisle where you can see furniture for different parts of the house and many items related to furnishing or decorating different rooms. There were some rolls of paper, but that wasn't what I was looking for either.

In the corners of the aisles, I sometimes see these dreamcatchers that fascinate me, and there are always new ones with spectacular designs.

En una zona abierta con más decoraciones encontré esta iguana o lagartija, a esta sí pude tomarle fotos porque estaba pensativa. También a esta decoración tan vistosa, aunque no fuera de materiales naturales, los prefiero.

Seguí caminando por diversos pasillos, hasta que pregunté a la chica que estaba en la caja y realmente lo que si tenían eran papeles, pero con dibujos o brillosos, que no me eran de utilidad. Al llegar mi madre me dijo que igual servía una tela azul y tengo una por lo que solucioné el tema del papel, pero con tela.

In an open area with more decorations, I found this iguana or lizard, which I was able to take photos of because it was pensive. I also liked this eye-catching decoration, even though it wasn't made of natural materials, which I prefer.

I continued walking through various aisles until I asked the girl at the cash register, and it turned out that they did have paper, but with patterns or glitter, which were of no use to me. When my mother arrived, she told me that blue fabric would work just as well, and I have some, so I solved the paper problem with fabric.

No conseguí lo que buscaba, pero pasé una tarde de domingo hermosa, mirando decoraciones, y me encanta recorrer estos lugares, ya les digo, aunque no compre nada, sólo compro cuando necesito. Tengo, digamos, hoy en día una mente más minimalista, no quiero tener tantas cosas que después no use.

I didn't find what I was looking for, but I spent a lovely Sunday afternoon looking at decorations, and I love visiting these places, even if I don't buy anything. I only buy when I need to. I have, let's say, a more minimalist mindset these days. I don't want to have so many things that I don't use.
