Greetings, my dear friends. I hope you are very well, in good health and well being, and that you are having the best day possible.
Although in Venezuela and other countries we celebrate the day of Love and Friendship on February 14, in Colombia it is celebrated the third week of September. So, to celebrate it with my friends from the foundation and the library, we organized it for today, Wednesday, in the store. It was a request that I accepted with great enthusiasm.
Saludos, mis queridos amigos. Espero que estén muy bien, con salud y bienestar, y que estén pasando el mejor día posible.
Aunque en Venezuela y en otros países el día del Amor y la Amistad lo celebramos el 14 de febrero, en Colombia se celebra la tercera semana de septiembre. Así pues, para celebrarlo con mis amigas de la fundación y de la biblioteca, lo organizamos para hoy miércoles, en el negocio. Fue una petición que atendí con mucho entusiasmo.

Last night, I left everything ready for our meeting from 9 to 11 in the morning, which were the scheduled hours, since we opened to the public at noon.
The first to arrive were the friends in charge of setting the place. We decorated with balloons and backdrops. We also put up a happy birthday sign because we are celebrating the remaining birthdays of this year. For me, it was a big surprise because I am one of the November birthday girls.
Another surprise were the centerpieces that one of the friends made and left them to me for the business.
Anoche, dejé todo listo para nuestro encuentro de 9 a 11 de la mañana que fueron las horas pautadas, en vista de que abrimos al público al mediodía.
Las primeras que llegaron fueron las amigas encargadas de hacer la ambientación del lugar. Decoramos con globos y bambalinas. también, pusimos un letrero de feliz cumpleaños porque celebramos los que faltan de este año. Para mí, fue una gran sorpresa porque yo estoy en las cumpleañeras de noviembre.
Otra sorpresa fueron los centros de mesa que hizo una de las amigas y me los dejó para decorar el negocio.

When all the guests arrived, we started our celebration with words of welcome. Then, some recreational activities, riddles, delivery of beautiful souvenirs and some surprises. Among them, mine: I had marked three chairs with the winning word to give away a few gifts that I knitted. It was great fun and the winners were delighted.
I also made a cake for a birthday song that I decorated with powdered sugar and colored sprinkles. It was a simple cake, but delicious.
We spent a happy, fun and loving morning. We celebrated life, love and friendship with much joy and gratitude for this wonderful group that we have formed.
Cuando llegaron todos los invitados, iniciamos nuestra celebración con palabras de bienvenida. Luego, algunas actividades recreativas, adivinanzas, entrega de recuerdos hermosos y algunas sorpresas. Entre ellas, la mía: había marcado tres sillas con la palabra premiada para obsequiar unos detalles que tejí. Fue muy divertido y las ganadoras quedaron encantadas.
También, hice una torta para cantar cumpleaños que decoré con azúcar glass y chispitas de colores. Fue una torta sencillita, pero deliciosa.
Pasamos una mañana feliz, divertida y cargada de mucho cariño. Celebramos la vida, el amor y la amistad con mucha alegría y gratitud por este maravilloso grupo que hemos conformado.

Que bonito compartir amiga, no sabía o no recordaba más bien la fecha del día del amor y la amistad en Colombia, quizás mis hermanos que están allá lo habrán comentado. El caso es que todo quedó súper lindo, la torta sencilla y hermosa a la vez, los tejidos seguramente preciosos, y tus amigos todos felices. Esos son los recuerdos que queremos construir. Un abrazo 🤗
