The Bad, The Good, and The Ugly

in Midnight Letters7 hours ago

Well over my years on planet earth, some may say it is small, and to others it might be good enough to classify me as a wise man. Who knows for sure? Then there is something I can say for certain, which is exists for me, and I would like to know if it is the same for others. I have come to understand there are times when things run smoothly, and there are times when things run like a hell show. It is beginning to make me wonder if life is made up of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Are these the chapters that make up the book of life, or are they the three wise men on the journey of life?

And then most people tend to showcase only the good parts online without you ever seeing the bad times. I know for sure there is never smoke with fire, and there is no fine gold that has not gone through the harshness of the furnace and the really burning lava. The sad part is that mistakes can occur without even giving a warning sign. You are all fine, and next you are trying to figure out where the problem originated from. What caused this? What went wrong and where.

The interesting part for me is that, as a chess player, I tend to play multiple variations of where exactly life threw this obstacle from. When did it have the upper hand and leverage over the given situation? It is not easy, that I am willing to admit, but the intriguing part is going back to previous actions or what happened previously to know what stopped the smoothness you were rolling on with life. There is a possibility of overthinking as well in the room, especially when you dwell on it for long.

In the concluding part, from my thoughts about the situation as a chess player and as a position, it is what it is. There are no rosy outcomes where you could expect everything to be fine and you face no challenge. Nah, that is not what life gives you. It would test you with the bad first, in my experience, then your respond towards it could tell if you would see the good ones. Next, the ugly comes. When I had to term this one has the ughly is because it tends to be big that the bad. The issue the ugly brings is even worse than what the bad is offering. Making it more challenging to test your patience in this life.

Another way you could look at the bad, the good, and the ugly could be in the world of financial markets. I do not know for certain if there is not a single financial instrument out there that has not experienced downtime. Now take it into the good, the bad, and the ugly. The bad would be when there is a brief drop in the market, and you had invested in it. It goes down 10%. That is not a problem, it can be recovered time. The good time comes when you are in the greens, profit left, right, and center. You are the happening guy and then life throws the ugly. A huge drop that goes down more than 50%. Portfolio in the red and you exeriencing the ugly.

Life is a mixture of all that sums up our experience. That is why I call it the bad, the good, and the ugly.
