Entre Gersiel y Midori nace una relación especial desde el momento en que se conocen.
A Gersiel le causó muy buena impresión al verla dedicada a sus estudios mientras que a Midori le impresiona lo centrado, serio y responsable que es Gersiel para ser un joven de su edad (aunque aparenta lucir como un joven que casi termina la adolescencia, Gersiel el equivalente a 27 años humanos cuando llegó al Cielo y se convirtió en ángel y allí ha estado más de 500 años).
A Midori le gusta que él esté cerca pues la hace sentir tan segura como si estuviera su padre con ella, mientras que Gersiel se ha tomado muy en serio el dar apoyo a su alumno Kyrsiel, quien es su ángel guardián temporal, para asegurarse que ella se mantenga a salvo todo el tiempo de las constantes amenazas de sus enemigos.
Así que, siempre que puedo, me gusta dibujarlos juntos.
En esta escena quise dibujarlos disfrutando un momento tranquilo. A Gersiel le gusta la música así que lo dibujé practicando piano mientras Midori lo abraza. Posiblemente, Kyrsiel les quería tomar una foto juntos.
En esta ilustración hubo tres elementos que me tomaron bastante tiempo: el piano, la alfombra y los sweaters de ambos.
¡Dibujar todas las teclas del piano fue una tarea interminable! Pero ya al final, me gustó el resultado. ¡Fue un buen ejercicio para la paciencia! También quería que la madera tanto de la silla como del piano luciera pulida a pesar de no estar en un estilo realista sino más bien manga.
En el caso de la alfombra, lo que me tomó más tiempo fue decidirme qué quería hacer con ella. No quería que compitiera con la imagen central que era Midori, Gersiel y el piano, así que opté por no hacer lineart y aplicar una textura con color contrastante para que ayudara a resaltar el color del piano.
En cuanto al sweater de ambos, quería que diera la sensación de ser cálidos, esponjosos y de una textura suave (tal vez como la textura de la tela de pana). Buscar crear esa sensación visual me llevó a experimentar diferentes presiones del aerógrafo sobre la base hecha con pinceles de acuarela. No tenía referencias a mano, así que me tocó hacerlo de memoria.
Si le hubiese puesto alguna decoración de invierno al ambiente, habría podido ser una buena idea de ilustración de navidad.

Between Gersiel and Midori, a special relationship is born from the moment they meet.
Gersiel is very impressed when he sees her dedicated to her studies, while Midori is impressed by how focused, serious, and responsible Gersiel is for a young man his age (although he appears to look like a young man who is almost finished with adolescence, Gersiel is the equivalent of 27 human years when he arrived in Heaven and became an angel, and he has been there for over 500 years).
Midori likes having him close because it makes her feel as safe as if her father were with her, while Gersiel takes his role of supporting his student Kyrsiel, who is his temporary guardian angel, very seriously, ensuring that she stays safe from the constant threats of her enemies.
So, whenever I can, I like to draw them together.
In this scene, I wanted to depict them enjoying a quiet moment. Gersiel likes music, so I drew him practicing piano while Midori hugs him. Possibly, Kyrsiel wanted to take a picture of them together.
In this illustration, there were three elements that took me quite a bit of time: the piano, the rug, and the sweaters of both.
Drawing all the keys of the piano was an endless task! But in the end, I liked the result. It was a good exercise for patience! I also wanted the wood of both the chair and the piano to look polished, even though it wasn't in a realistic style but rather manga.
As for the rug, what took me the most time was deciding what I wanted to do with it. I didn't want it to compete with the central image, which was Midori, Gersiel, and the piano, so I opted not to do line art and applied a contrasting color texture to help highlight the color of the piano. Regarding their sweaters, I wanted them to feel warm, fluffy, and soft in texture (maybe like the texture of corduroy). Trying to create that visual sensation led me to experiment with different airbrush pressures over a base made with watercolor brushes. I didn't have references on hand, so I had to do it from memory.
If I had added any winter decorations to the environment, it could have been a good idea for a Christmas illustration.
