Hoy pude avanzar un poco más en las ilustraciones al estilo cell shading que estoy haciendo con los personajes de “Ángel Guardián” para practicar.
En esta oportunidad, dibujé a Midori tanto con su ropa de escuela como con ropa casual.
Me di cuenta de un detalle que nunca me había percatado al dibujarla: cuando Midori usa su uniforme de escuela, siempre tiene todo el flequillo al frente de manera uniforme, sin embargo, en las escenas donde la he dibujado con otro tipo de ropa, siempre tiene el flequillo abierto al centro.
Realmente no fue algo planificado. Pienso que a nivel inconsciente, quise hacer una diferencia entre ambas facetas como ocurre con Kyrsiel y Gersiel aun cuando ella no tiene ningún cambio ni habilidad especial que mostrar con un cambio de ambiente.
Bueno, hay un cambio que sí es obvio: ella es más crítica con Kyrsiel cuando este se encuentra fuera de la escuela y se lo hace saber sin filtros, cosa que muchas veces molesta a Kyrsiel.
Usé el lápiz de diseño para el lineart. Me gusta mucho cómo la línea queda consistente y al haber un acercamiento, se nota la textura del lápiz al estilo del anime old school.
Tengo que revisar si en Tahoma hay alguno de los lápices que me pueda dar ese efecto para probarlo. El lineart vectorizado les da mucha nitidez a las ilustraciones, sobre todo a las que tienen detalles y el personaje de encuentra alejado, pero le resta algo de la calidez que reflejaba el anime tradicional. Cuando haga las pruebas, les compartiré los resultados para compararlos.
Ahora estoy indecisa sobre quién será el próximo personaje al que haré en cell shading…la dulce Mitharael, el arrogante Ronny o el vanidoso Agramón…todos pasarán por el proceso pero aún no sé en qué orden lo harán.

Today I was able to make a bit more progress on the cell shading style illustrations I'm doing with the characters from "Angel Guardian" to practice.
This time, I drew Midori both in her school uniform and in casual clothes.
I noticed a detail I had never realized before when drawing her: when Midori wears her school uniform, she always has her bangs evenly in front, however, in the scenes where I've drawn her in other types of clothing, she always has her bangs parted in the center.
It was really not something that was planned. I think that on an unconscious level, I wanted to make a difference between both facets, just as it happens with Kyrsiel and Gersiel, even though she doesn't have any change or special ability to display with a change of environment.
Well, there is one change that is obvious: she is more critical of Kyrsiel when he is outside of school and lets him know without filters, which often bothers Kyrsiel.
I used the design pencil for the lineart. I really like how the line remains consistent and when there is a close-up, the texture of the pencil in the old school anime style is noticeable.
I have to check if there are any pencils in Tahoma that can give me that effect to try it out. The vectorized lineart gives a lot of sharpness to the illustrations, especially those with details and the character is far away, but it takes away some of the warmth that traditional anime reflected. When I do the tests, I'll share the results with you to compare.
Now I'm undecided about who will be the next character I'll do in cell shading... the sweet Mitharael, the arrogant Ronny or the vain Agramón... they will all go through the process, but I still don't know in what order they will do it.
