First of all, I have a new addition to my family - Cheech. We had a feral mom give birth to 5 kittens under our shed - and then something happened to the mom. They all had a bacterial infection and they have runny noses. I am not taking Cheech to the vet.
At the vet they would give her the mRNA jab, and all the other jabs probably without my awareness. Also I am not getting her spayed. I leave all this up to The Creator.
All the kittens are gone but this one is left. She will be my outdoor cat. I am feeding her raw chicken to get her used to hunting.
I spent the entire day in 91 degrees - installing the Sigils to the Wooden Tree Boxes out at the property - 2 hours from home:
#1. Maple - Maya, planted in 2022
#2. Hackberry - Haya, planted in 2022
#3. Hawthorne - Hawya, planted in 2022 - about 4 feet tall now.
#4. Chokecherry - Choby - replaced the Oak Tree from 2022 that died this year.
#5. Hawthorne - Hawthya, planted in 2022 - is about 6 feet tall - since the box is 4' tall, made from 4' x 8' plywood.
#6. Hackberry - Hackya, planted in 2022 - is under 4' tall right now. We use the outer boxes to water so as not to scorch the leaves in the hot hot sun. There is a constant wind out there but the sun is beating down.
#7. Hawthorne - Hawthya - planted in 2022 - 5' tall. Hawthorne's full sun to grow - because of the boxes, some of these are not getting full sun all day, but that's just going to have to be the way it is because the wind would snap their trunks in a minute if they did not have the boxes.
#8. Hackberry - planted in 2022, Hakis - just 4' tall now.
- Hawthorne - Hawthin - planted in 2022 - just coming over the 4' mark this year.
#10. Hackberry - Hakkex - planted in 2022 - 5' plus this year.
#11. Hawthorne - Hawthel - under 4' planted in 2022.
#12. Hackberry - Twethak - planted in 2022 - 5 - 6' tall now.
#13. Hawthorne - Thirthaw - planted in 2022 - still under 4' tall in the box - and a lot of weeds growing in the outer box robbing the water - there are also toads living near or in the boxes and ladybugs, beatles, and grasshoppers.
We are going to have spray neem oil this year because the grasshoppers are eating the chokecherries that are not that strong yet.
#14. Oak - Forok - planted in 2023 - is still very small inside the box - we have lost a lot of oak trees - we lost one out at the property and we had 3 other oaks we received earlier this year that just didn't make it at all - at home - we think they were raised inside a greenhouse and were passed out too early - May - and they just couldn't survive. We also got those for free from McGukken's hardware through the City of Boulder.
#15. Chokecherry - Chocha - planted in 2023 - this was a replacement of the 2 pines that died the first year because we did not put them in a box - thinking they would be fine - but the Wild Antelope chomped them.
#16. This was also a replacement of the pines - it's a hawthorne planted in 2023 - Hawza - so it's under 4' as well.
#17. Oak - Sevoa - planted in 2023 - still under a foot tall. Maybe they will just shoot up one day - not sure - they just don't seem to love it out here.
#18. Hackberry - Hakeia - Planted in 2023 - 5' - 6' tall this year - doing great! My husband thinks 5 years will be sufficient and we can take the boxes off.
#19. Hawthorne - Hawni - planted in 2023 - still maybe 3' inside the box.
#20. Chokecherry - Chochi - planted 2023. Under 3'.
#21. Hawthorne - Hawbi - planted in 2023.
#22. Is a Hawthorne but the sigil broke and I have to redo it
#23. Hawthorne - Hawk - planted in 2023. Under 4' tall.
#24. Hawthorne - Hawfi - planted in 2023. The T-posts keep the wind from lifting the boxes off the ground and carrying them to Kansas. The Chicken wire is to protect the trees from the antelope, but this year, I have had to start wrapping the chickenwire instead of just putting it on top so the trees don't "poke" through - and become Antelope lunch. We have some wild antelope on the property.
My husband saved a baby antelope that was stuck in a barbed wire fence the other day out this way...totally a God thing.
#25. Hawthorne - Hawgog - Planted in 2023.
#26. This is from home - it's Native to New England but it is growing prolifically without a lot of water so Kirk planted one last year out here to see if it would make it. It's still small but it's alive. It's called a climbing spindle tree. Here's the info on it from our plant identification channel on Telegram.
#27. Chokecherry - Chocho - planted in 2023.
**#28 - Sigil - has to be repainted - **
2024
all my attempts to map out 2024 failed and it's all very confusing and messed up. But me and numbering - eventually fails.
teensy maple
#30 - is a Hawthorne - from 2024 - and I don't have a picture right now.
#31 Chokecherry - Chomer - is getting ravaged by grasshoppers...
#32. Chokecherry - Chogig - 2024
#33. Chokecherry - 2024 - Chobin
#34. Peach - 2024
#35. Hawthorne - Hawthor - 2024.
#36. Hawthorne - Hawdrin - 2024. No Picture right now.
#37. Raspberry Bush 1 - Raspin - 2024. No Picture right now.
#38. Raspberry Bush #2
#39. Raspberry Bush #3
#40. Hawthorne - 2024 - Hawdred - No Picture Right now.
The problem was - I mapped it all out incorrectly and I had more chokecherries than we had and so I have to redo some of the sigils. I was thinking of using a Pyrography Pen to do it but I don't really like it that much so I might have to make a new batch of cement - by Wednesday. Not sure if I will get it done. And I am so tired.
I feel the disorder of the "world" beating me up. Nature has order. Humanity is in complete and total disorder.
I may need to detox from media. And people. The kitten situation was very disturbing. No one wants the kitten of course. Everyone giving me advice about it. And I am following my intuition but feel generally lonely. I just feel like humanity is so out of touch with what is really important. And also my flaws - and confusion - and disorder -disturbs me. I am probably just tired but I have to drive an hour and a half today to do a session in-person and I want to go back to bed, having been out in the hot sun all day yesterday.
