Soy una persona fanática de muchos temas en general, y no, no estoy hablando de que soy obsesivo o me corto las venas por ningún tema en específico -como sí hay muchas personas en la actualidad-. Sino que soy un amante de muchos temáticas, soy un amateur y un eterno aprendiz de la vida.

Una de mis más grandes aficiones...

Como ya asomé, me gustan muchísimos temas, pero uno de los que más me interesa es la fotografía, porque soy amante de plasmar en un recuadro, en una simple imagen, momentos, sentires y vivencias. La fotografía es entender cómo una imagen puede llenarnos, afectarnos y movernos. Y es fascinante cómo una imagen puede significar tantas cosas diferentes, tanto para nosotros mismos, como para cualquiera que la observa.

La expresión, el movimiento, la luz, la sensación, la fuerza, sencillamente son cualidades que una buena fotografía puede captar y exponer. Para mí, la fotografía es vivir, pero también, ver y analizar las fotografías de otros es vivir. Pues para mí, analizar disfrutar de la fotografía es algo intenso, y es un arte tanto saber tomar una foto magnífica, como saber apreciar una foto que fue magníficamente tomada -aún si no la hemos tomado nosotros-.

Esto nos empuja y nos ancla en un crecimiento personal constante, y es por ello que sostengo que la intensidad de nuestras pasiones y aficiones nos lleva a crecer en más maneras de las que a veces somos capaces de entender. Pues la intensidad de nuestras aficiones, es lo que nos ayuda a ser más grandes y mejores con cada día que pasa, al volvernos seres más complejos y con más matices.

Este pequeña meditación y exposición que acabo de hacer es lo que diré sobre la intensidad de nuestras aficiones por ahora.

Un ejemplo de buena fotografía

Pues hay que aclarar que en el arte fotográfico, no hay buenos ni malos resultados, porque como buen arte, no hay límites a la creatividad. Por lo que la apreciación de una fotografía y nuestra crítica -buena o mala- de ella, es solo lo que interpretamos y sentimos según nuestra experiencia vital, y nuestras percepciones internas.

Aclarada esta parte, quiero enseñarles una fotografía que a mi parecer es hermosa y transmite mucho más de lo que pudiera parecer para algunos. Debo aclarar también que no la tomé yo, sino que la misma proviene de Unsplash, pero es para ejemplificar de lo que les estoy hablando.

La imagen a simple vista es una casa en medio de un bosque, en el día. Pero la imagen es tan expresiva, que incluso podríamos construir una historia -o complementarla- partiendo de ella. Se trata de una imagen con gran fuerza de expresión, que nos muestra o evoca sentimientos como la soledad, lo pacífico, lo apartado, lo espiritual; pero al mismo tiempo, puede evocar lo misterioso, lo oculto y lo escondido.

Los árboles y su verdor nos enseñan que la casa es fresca, segura y muy tranquila. El pasto o maleza seca alrededor nos indica que está en medio de un terreno en la nada o en una zona que no tiene cuidados. Pero la paz que se siente en la imagen, si nos metemos dentro de ella, no tiene parangón.

En fin. Solo quería compartir estos pensamientos con ustedes por ahora.

I am a fanatic about many topics in general, and no, I am not saying that I am obsessive or that I cut my wrists for any specific topic -as there are many people nowadays-. But I am a lover of many topics, I am an amateur and an eternal learner of life.

One of my greatest hobbies...

As I already mentioned, I like many topics, but one of the ones that interests me the most is photography, because I love capturing moments, feelings and experiences in a frame, in a simple image. Photography is understanding how an image can fill us, affect us and move us. And it is fascinating how an image can mean so many different things, both for ourselves and for anyone who observes it.

Expression, movement, light, sensation, strength, are simply qualities that a good photograph can capture and expose. For me, photography is living, but also, seeing and analyzing the photographs of others is living. Well, for me, analyzing and enjoying photography is something intense, and it is an art both to know how to take a magnificent photo, and to know how to appreciate a photo that was magnificently taken -even if we did not take it-.

This pushes us and anchors us in constant personal growth, and that is why I maintain that the intensity of our passions and hobbies leads us to grow in more ways than we are sometimes able to understand. Because the intensity of our hobbies is what helps us to be bigger and better with each passing day, by becoming more complex and nuanced beings.

This little meditation and exposition that I just made is what I will say about the intensity of our hobbies for now.

An example of good photography

Well, it must be made clear that in photographic art, there are no good or bad results, because as good art, there are no limits to creativity. Therefore, the appreciation of a photograph and our criticism -good or bad- of it, is only what we interpret and feel according to our life experience, and our internal perceptions.

Now that I've got this out of the way, I want to show you a photo that I think is beautiful and conveys much more than it might seem to some. I must also clarify that I didn't take it, but that it comes from Unsplash, but it's to exemplify what I'm talking about.

At first glance, the image is a house in the middle of a forest, during the day. But the image is so expressive that we could even build a story -or complement it- based on it. This is an image with great expressive power, which shows us or evokes feelings such as solitude, peace, isolation, and spirituality; but at the same time, it can evoke the mysterious, the hidden, and the occult.

The trees and their greenery show us that the house is fresh, safe, and very quiet. The dry grass or weeds around it indicate that it is in the middle of a piece of land in the middle of nowhere or in an area that is not cared for. But the peace that is felt in the image, if we get inside it, is unparalleled.

Anyway. I just wanted to share these thoughts with you for now.
