Paintbrushes

Imagine waking up to find yourself face to face with your creator. Since Monday is the most serious day of the week, it should fit perfectly for this kind of scenario. Imagine waking up on a Monday morning to find yourself, not in your usual room, but in an entirely different place. A parallel universe, maybe? Standing face to face with the ultimate creator- the giver of life. You’re standing there, wearing the pajamas you wore to bed the night before, with no memory of how you got there. The space is so silent that even a whisper would echo loudly. Then, the creator’s gentle voice breaks the awkward silence, “Welcome, you. Today, you become an artist. Draw your life, exactly how you would want it to be.”

He hands over a big, wide, and blank drawing paper, paints, brushes, pencil, and an eraser which you would use to clean up any mistakes. As soon as you grab the pencil, a torrent of questions runs through your mind. What if I end up drawing the wrong thing? How many chances do I get? What if the eraser doesn’t clean my mistakes well? The truth is that if I ever found myself in such a situation, surely, I would want to paint a perfect picture. I would paint my mom smiling, and my dad laughing hysterically just as he did years ago, I would paint my siblings achieving their deepest desires, and finally, I’d paint myself, achieving my wildest dreams and biggest goals. We would all want to paint perfect images.

Sadly, the truth is that perfect art doesn’t exist. Of course, you can paint awesome, fantastic, beautiful, gigantic, whatever you want to call it, pictures of how you'd want your life to be, but a perfect one? That’s impossible. However, just because it is impossible to create perfect art, doesn't mean it is not worth trying, right? It’d be unfair to give up too early.

As soon as we stepped into the world, we became artists. Life is a big blank drawing board, and our decisions, actions, mistakes, the friends we make, the bonds we break, and every other thing, are the paints, brushes, and erasers. Life is a work of art and we are artists. Better put, life is a blank paper, we make it a work of art. Our paintbrushes are in our hands, not in anyone else’s. Which means you are in charge of your happiness. Your dopamine jar is in your hands and only you can fill it to the brim. Surely, friends and partners can try to bring smiles to our faces, but at the end of everything, the power to create our happiness is in our hands and no one else can bring that masterpiece to life.

For this month's LPUD, I powered up 100 Leo. At the beginning of this year, I made a goal to power up every month. In fact, I atually wrote down my Hive goal: to build my Hive power, and stack up Leo and some other Hive tokens. However, I have realized that it is when I write down my goals that I find it hard to achieve them. I know this isn't good enough, but I'm trying to fix myself. But for now, I have realized that I don’t do well with to-do lists. I’ll work on myself, but till then, I’ll try as hard as I can to participate in LPUD throughout the rest of this year.

Currently, I have a total of 798.579 Leo. I do not have a current goal before the year runs out, but let’s see how it goes. Happy Leo Power Up Day.

This hit me really deep. I've got to say, Kitten. I love how your mind works. I don't think I'd have thought of this concept and you just provided a meaning to life and art that is so profound and incredibly beautiful. So yeah, cheers to being such an excellent wordsmith.

To achieving all our goals and more.🥂🌹
