Introduction
We love to watch as week after week, our community continues to grow, we are already 837 subscribers, or rather, humanists in web3, the new digital environments. In this weekly publication we try on the one hand to promote discussion and debate around the featured publications, as well as to promote their reading. And on the other hand, we want this publication to be an incentive for the production of articles or publications that promote debates.
Initiatives
We propose a monthly initiative of creative research. Through a series of open topics, we seek to stimulate your critical thinking and your ability to generate new ideas. This exercise will allow you to explore different artistic languages and broaden your creative horizons.
INITIATIVE: A Theme for Every Day (December Edition)
The second proposal, more concrete, asks us to reflect a little on Christmas, no matter what perspective you choose, we want to know what you think about Christmas.
INITIATIVE: Christmas, an invitation to think
Featured publications of the week
Let's talk a little bit about each item:
What are you doing to contribute to a more socially just society?
This post invites us to reflect on our own role in promoting DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion). Some people don't know how they can contribute to this from their spaces, @depressedfuckup encourages us to think about it. Hive itself is a diverse social community committed to equity, evidenced by projects like HiveGhana and HiveGoesToSchool, and although from there we could be participating in building a more just society, it is important that we think about how else we can contribute.
The cultural aspect of social networks
@omarqm brings us a post on the evolution of social networks and their impact on digital culture. From nostalgia for Messenger to the transformation of Facebook, competition with Instagram, Snapchat and the sweeping arrival of TikTok, it is clear how continuous updates respond to the changing needs of users. The comparison with Darwin's theory is key: what doesn't evolve, gets left behind. As users we drive change in digital culture.
The importance of not ceasing to be yourself on social networks
On the importance of preserving our authenticity when participating in social networks, which have become a space of creation, debate and massive exchange of information, but also of disinformation. @vikvitnik reflects on how the tendency to prioritize viralization and views can blur the identity of users and increase aggressiveness in debates. It seems that in Web 3 we have the opportunity to build something different: more authentic and human connections.
Recent news
Our team had the honor of actively participating in the III Philosophy Conference organized by the Experimental Dean's Office of Humanities and Arts at UCLA. Thanks to the generous support of the Hive community through the valueplan project, we were able to contribute as sponsors to this important academic event. Two of our members presented papers, and we had the valuable collaboration of other Hive users living in Barquisimeto. For more details about our participation and the scope of the event, we invite you to consult our detailed publication, available at the following link:

Final words:
In this publication, we would like to highlight the valuable contribution of our authors in sharing their articles with the community. Although all the publications presented are fabulous, we have chosen these 3 in particular for the originality of their approaches and their ability to enrich the debate. We wish to publicly acknowledge the intellectual contribution they have provided. In addition to keeping you informed of what is happening in the community both onchain and offchain.
