After the events of the attack on the Shinra industry.
We were forced to flee from the explosion that was generated and left the city and its surroundings in disaster, leaving the team in low spirits believing they were guilty of leaving casualties, since it goes against their nature to help people.
However, Avalanche leader Barret makes it clear that to create change you have to make certain sacrifices that he is willing to bear.
Amidst debris and explosions on all sides, we had to escape; they had already deployed a tracking team and were on our trail. Helicopters circled the area, and creatures like mutant dogs that Shinra created for wars were behind the team. At one moment, a structure collapsed, and we had to split up.
The leader let us know that he did not trust us despite having been helpful to the team, and he had reasons since we were only there for money being mercenaries, we would not get too involved. However, the rest showed their affection for us for having demonstrated that we cared about the well-being of the team.
Suddenly, Cloud finds himself face to face with someone familiar and lets us know that this is an enemy to be feared as he wields his sword upon having him in front, and in response, he sets the surroundings on fire, causing much more chaos than what was already there
totally clinging, Cloud decides to track down that ex-soldier because his hatred was very great, not realizing that he was increasingly entering the dangerous and suffocating fire that was destroying everything around him.
With difficulty, we advance following the mysterious figure who seems to walk calmly as if he wants to guide us, and when we finally face him again, we realize that Cloud tells him he eliminated him a long time ago and that he is responsible for the annihilation of his hometown. The figure responds that he will never die completely because as long as good exists, evil will always be present to oppose it, and as long as Cloud lives, he will be connected to his memories.
And with a sudden attack, Cloud dispels the flames, realizing that it was all an illusion caused by the post-traumatic stress from the wars that Cloud has had to witness.
however, in the midst of it all, we are surrounded by Shinra guards, and with great determination and strength, we face several of them, but at a moment of opportunity, we escape the scene. showing us that in decisive moments, the ex-soldier is very capable.
After meeting again with our colleagues, we headed to the lower part of the city, which contrasts sharply with those who are more socially well-off, and we realize a harsh reality: here people live in very precarious conditions; however, they appear very happy together, and camaraderie is evident in every corner we look at.
A new day dawns; we decided to stay only because we have not yet been paid for the work we did.
A new day is about to arrive just like this story; we just have to wait and see what the future holds for us.

I completely agree, it is the perfect excuse to be able to play it. Because although I am a fan of the franchise I have never been able to enjoy it due to its previous version.
But now I enjoy every moment.
