Scrooger plays RDR2 - Micah's Malicious Massacre - #9

in Gaming Photography10 months ago

As predicted I barely found time to play while back at work. Days are just too long. Kids are just too busy. Life is just hectic. I did however find a gap and squeezed in a quick session since it was kind of nagging me to go and rescue this Micah feller. He is one of us after all and a jailbreak mission sounds kind of fun. Boy, was I wrong... It was pure MADNESS!

I didn't waste any time going out of town so I just headed to the mission location ASAP. I did however find this lost soul along the way who needed directions to the town I was heading to, so I thought I might as well help him out. He slowed me down a bit, but I didn't mind. I got my head ready for the mission ahead. The town is just ahead of us. Not a big place at all, but better keep an eye out for danger.

2.jpgRight in front of the jailhouse. Meh, nothing too scary, looks quite winky dink so this should be easy. Walk it, have a talk and say it was all a misunderstanding and get our Micah out.

3.jpgAfter walking in they were somewhat friendly, but quickly made it clear I am not welcome and if I dare to linger I would be taken care of. I headed out, I didn't want to pick a fight... Not yet.

4.jpgAfter investigating the building I found the little prison window and spoke to Micah.

5.jpgHe seem like a fine fellow.

6.jpgI was eager to get him out as he has been in there for a while already.

7.jpgFound this old contraption that might help me pull the bars right out of the building.

8.jpgWith a little handy work I managed to hook a rope to the bars and we were ready to pull this place apart and ride like lightning into the sunset...

9.jpgMicah looked pretty scruffy, not what I expected, but I guess a few days in the joint does that too you. The shocking thing about him jumping out is that as soon as he did another guy tried to get out after him and since I already handed him a gun to make sure we can get out safely he decided to blow that guys brains out before he could take a step outside. He claimed the feller was an O'Driscoll. I guess it was kind of fine then...

10.jpgThe crazy thing is that as soon as we got out I knew we might have to take a life or two to make sure we get out safely. Micah had other plans, he went on a full on rampage.

11.jpgWe were fighting our way out of there but Micah was dead set on a house visit to get something.

12.jpgOutside the house in question.

13.jpgI thought he might just hop in and get his loot, but I heard gunshots and know he killed whoever lived here... What the heck is he up to. We have done enough damage, we need to get out of here and fast.

14.jpgAs soon as we got out Micah got a second wind and just kept on going with his killing spree, I tagged along since we needed to get out of here alive.

15.jpgWe showed no mercy since it was life or death at this point.

16.jpgWe got on our horses and raced out of there!

17.jpgWe were being hunted by horseback at this point. We share a lot bullets from here on out and it was pure chaos.

18.jpgLuckily we got out... Phew what a rush! Luckily we were both alive and our horses were fine too. I would be pissed to lose a horse this way.

19.jpgOn the way home the weather turned real dark, it was beautiful. I even managed to get a shot of some lightning!

20.jpgWe rode out into the bad weather. Let's go home.

21.jpgAfter a chat he told me he had some business to take care of and that Dutch, our leader will most likely not be happy with him returning at this point. I was kind of disappointed. Thought he would return to camp and help us.

22.jpgRiding off like the madman he is... It was at this moment where I thought that I could have killed him before he killed everyone in our way. Too much bloodshed. Too many lives... Was he really worth it?

23.jpgWe since the weather is clearing up it is time for me to head home and get some rest. Saw a neat train in the distance as well.

24.jpgAs I rode though the train station I spotted a dog and we all know what that means...

25.jpgPets for the good doggo. Always.

26.jpgThis strange feller called me over and he was smoking, not like a chimney, more like a train!

27.jpgHe told me about these special collectable cards that you can fine in cigarettes' packs and that I should be on the lookout for some rare ones. He even gave me some free packs to smoke up. Western NFT's....

24-01-07 22.31.57 PRDR32061324960_1.jpgHe have me his card and I should contact him if I find a good set of cards for him. Not really interested.

24-01-07 22.32.58 PRDR31895216791_1.jpgOn my way home I found our leader, Dutch guarding the camp. Good to see he isn't just sitting around, glad to see him actively taking a part not like a king who sits on his throne the whole day.

24-01-07 22.34.04 PRDR3671393797_1.jpgFinally time for some rest...

Scrooger signing off, I still wonder if I should have just taken care of Micah, he seems like bad news and too much blood was shed today only for him... I will wait for our next meeting and I might just make it his last meeting.

The graphics from this game seems very nice!
Last games I played "professionally" was Counter-Strike-Source, where I also had some ESL competitions alone and with the team (clan). Much fun back at the high school.

Last game I played at competitions was Counter Strike 1.6. Haha. Yeah the graphics are insane and it just keeps blowing me away when I see new areas and buildings. Won anything good in your competitive days?

Eheheheh, I started with the CS1.6 at a friend's place and then we started the adventure on CSS.
Not really. We took many games but nothing with "real money", level was far too high for the time I was dedicating and the setup I had for playing :D

I still remember the old days in high school, having lan parties, nothing beat those. Carrying our huge monitors and PC's around for a weekend of fun. I think I was to old by the time CSS went mainstream... Then I am guessing you are a few years younger than I am.

Anyway, play some games, and get some chill time in. Games will always be a good outlet for stress.

From your profile picture, you seem having all white hair and a vintage hat. I guess yes, being some years younger than you :D

Yes, sometimes I still play some light and online games just to chill but nothing compared to those times :D

I say it a thousand times, RDR 2 is one of the most complete games that have come out. And in terms of western theme I don't think it has any direct competition.

I am still getting into it and have to agree with you, it is amazing so far. As for competition, none.

Breaking a prison? This is such a bad-ass part of this game. I see you're showing us more and more screenshots now and I really loved them especially the lightning shot is amazing.

Its nice to see you getting time in your business and you're not wrong about mentioning this jailbreak mission as pure madness.

Thanks, yeah it is tough to find time and be active. I miss the days where I was single and could put a decent chunk of time into playing. Then again, wouldn't trade that for my family so I am content. Just have to find the time.

Thanks, yeah, getting more fun to take the screenshots. Moved the screenshot button to a button on my mouse so it goes a little faster and easier.

Sounds great, looking forward to see more of your play soon.
