After a quick skirmish with guards, I escaped the temple to bring news of the lizard's death to Cleopatra. Bayek presented the broken mask as proof, leading the queen to authorize the massive festival of Apis. I watched the grand procession of the Apis bull before sharing a final romantic moment with Aya.
After taking out the Lizard, I really wanted to slip out of the temple without anyone noticing. Unfortunately, a few guards spotted me immediately. They attacked on sight, forcing me into a quick fight to clear the way. It was a brief scramble, but I had to take them down before the whole place could be alerted to what just happened.
I kept my guard up, expecting a massive wave of reinforcements to come pouring in, but surprisingly, the rest of the temple stayed quiet. No one else seemed to notice the situation so I was able to make my exit and leave the temple grounds behind.
My next stop was delivering the news to the High Priest and Cleopatra. I made my way to the temple to find them, carrying the proof of the deed. The tension was still high as I approached, knowing how much was riding on the successful assassination of the Lizard.
In a pretty dramatic move, Bayek threw the mask of the Lizard onto the floor to prove the target was dead. You can see the High Priest picking up the broken pieces, confirming the kill. Cleopatra was satisfied with the result and officially approved the festival to celebrate the occasion.
The festival finally kicked off the next day. The streets were packed as people gathered to see the Apis bull being led out for the celebration. It was a massive event, and the atmosphere in these shots really shows how important this ritual was to the city.
Even Queen Cleopatra made a grand entrance. She was shown in the cinematic being carried on a wooden boat by slaves. Right in front of the bull, the high priest took his position to lead the way. Everything looked incredibly fancy and full of color.
While the party was happening, Bayek met up with Aya outside. She told him she had to get back to her duties soon, so they only had that one night together. It was a nice, quiet moment for some romance before they went their separate ways. That wrapped up the mission perfectly.
