Finding the communications department turned into a fight through the wrong corridors. After encountering corrupted areas, running out of ammo multiple times, and clearing enemies with a mix of gunfire and melee, the correct path finally revealed itself, ending with the cleansing of the department.

I had to enter the communications department to find a hotline, but finding the communications department was not an easy task for me, cause I followed the wrong path.

I kept moving ahead and suddenly found a dead body on my way. I assumed there'd be enemies ahead, so I put out the service weapon and was looking for my enemies.

Noticing some enemies, I opened fire, and I ran out of ammo at a point. One of the enemies tried to take advantage, so he came forward, and while my weapon was recharging, I tried a melee attack on him.

There was this red alley that was on the opposite side of the path I had to go. I checked this alley anyway, and my character lost some health as this part was highly corrupted with the hiss overpowering.

It was the cafeteria, and I somehow guessed there'd be enemies. My guess was correct, so I went back up and took cover to shoot them down easily, and my strategy worked well.

Through the cafeteria, I found the path to the communications department at last, which was not a good sight for sure. There was this red part that needed my cleansing, and I saw a bunch of bodies floating above there.

It was like a server room that I wished to check first, and there came some enemies where I had to try melee, as I lost ammo again.

Then, there came a lot of enemies at once, but I handled them easily as I took cover as soon as I noticed some floating bodies falling.

It was time to cleanse the communications department at last.

Using the high ground for cover was a smart tactical play to clear out the room safely. It turned what could have been a chaotic shootout into a methodical cleanup.
Guessing there would be enemies in the cafeteria and taking the high ground before the fighting even started was a cool move. And, this journey sounds like a total nightmare.
