Exploring The Photo-mode in Far Cry 6.

in Gaming Photography2 months ago

Hi Everyone.

  • This is not a gameplay post.

As noted above, this post is not about my gameplay or any mission. I mentioned quite a long back that there's an issue with the photo mode in Far Cry 6. And it was only in the version I was playing, I haven't purchased it and the crack file had a bug. I thought it was unsolvable and I was capturing my photos without using any of the special features of the photo mode.

But, a few days back, a reel came to my YouTube feed randomly showing how that player used photo mode to create amazing shots and that kind of hit me that why I'm missing all this fun.

So, I started my research and tried downloading many files to fix the bug. After spending two days and a lot of trial and error, I finally fixed it. Though there is one option left to fix, it's not that important. So, I'll just show you some random shots that I've taken using the photo mode and how many poses you can create on the spot.

  • All the poses that you are seeing below, are fully created by the photomode. There are no specific emote options in the game but there are a lot of options for facial expression, pose and effects in the photo mode.

  • Some close shots of Dani petting and hugging her pet GUAPO.

  • The blue smoke represents the liberation army's dream of living in a liberated country. It was added from the effects option in the photo mode.

  • Middle finger for the enemies.

As you can see these photos were captured at daylight. But, in the game, it was still midnight. The good thing is, that you can change the daylight as per your wish and choose your perfect lighting and shadow position for the pictures.

  • Tropical Effect.

  • Liberation Smoke

  • Dani on Fire: Ready to Kill Anyone.

  • Facial Expressions.

Note that, there are total 25 Facial Expressions and 31 Poses in the photo mode. But, sharing and combining all of them at once would be too much. I'm just sharing some random ones below.

You can also add objects behind you to decorate your picture. As you can see there's a mascot behind me posing like me, I added it using the photo mode. Also, Now I have access to the wide-angle option and that sure makes the photos look good.

In this one, you can see that I changed the weather, clouds in the sky and the time of the day to fix my choice of shot.

This was rainy weather, and the black line you saw was because my GPU could not handle the pressure. I'll explain it better below.

I would take a lot more shots of the horses and during horse riding and nature too. But, when I was taking these weather-changing shots, I suddenly noticed some burning smell of plastic and suddenly I realised that it was my pc. I had my task manager open in the second monitor and it was showing that my GPU temperature was at 86°c. I was constantly changing the graphics. Like on multiple levels at the same time, pose, time of day, effect, weather, position, etc. And that was too much for my GPU to handle. I was recording at the same time too.

Normally FC6 burns only 60-70% of my GPU but in this case, it was at 100% the whole time. I was having so much fun that I didn't even notice it. So, I had to stop there.

It looks like you liked the feature and I should say, you played well with the photo mode. @tipu curate 8
