The Next Step in WWM.

I started by talking to the young girl named Ruby. She seemed quite anxious and was asking me to take her to the shrine, but I knew I had to investigate the house nearby first. Her presence added a layer of responsibility to the journey, as I had to keep an eye on her while navigating these dangerous environments.

As I approached the building, I noticed a strange, glowing mark etched into a broken door. It looked like a seal or a warning of some kind. This mark was the first sign that this house held more secrets than a typical abandoned home, prompting me to step inside and see what was hidden behind the wreckage.

Ruby spotted a spear outside the house. Before she could reach out and touch the potentially dangerous relic, my character stepped in and picked it up. It turned out this wasn't just a piece of junk; the spear felt balanced and powerful in my hands, and it officially became a new addition to my weapon wheel.

I began searching the house and discovered a hidden drawer where I found an old letter. It was written by someone named Wei and addressed to Uncle Jiang. Reading through the lines.

Further into the house, I came across a spirit table. My character understood that someone had been here recently and moved the table from its original position.

After finishing my search, I met back up with Ruby outside. We decided it was time to move on, and our next destination was the General's Shrine. The path ahead looked great.

We reached hanging bridge. Ruby, being young and fearless, rushed across it recklessly. Under her weight and speed, the old wood finally gave way, and the bridge collapsed behind her. It was a heart-stopping moment that left us separated by a massive gap.

With the bridge gone, I had to learn a new way to navigate. The game taught me the dash jump technique, a vital skill for clearing large gaps. I practiced the timing, building up speed and leaping across the broken sections of the path to reunite with Ruby on the other side.

We reached a high mountain ledge and spotted a figure in the distance shooting down white birds. The precision was incredible, but it felt like a strange and somewhat cruel thing to be doing in such a peaceful-looking spot.

We ran over to confront the archer. From a distance, I honestly thought the figure was a lady because of the elegant clothing and long hair, but as we got closer, I realized it was a man. His name is Feng Jisheng.

After a brief conversation where he explained his presence, he gifted me a manuscript on archery techniques. It's a valuable prize that will definitely help improve my range in future fights.

That's all for now.
