The Journey Continues in Helheim Landing.

in Gaming Photography2 years ago

After a long fight against Baldur, at last I got Atreus but we landed on Helheim and this path shouldn't be easy for us as I ripped the heart of the Bridge Keeper when I last came here and besides, Baldur should be around as well. And our main target in here would be to escape from Helheim.

That's what happened in my last post and I'm leaving the photos above just to let you know what happened before.

After discovering Helheim Landing, we noticed a ship and Mimir was saying this should take us halfway to Tyre's Temple. Mimir also said that the Bridge Keeper kept the living out of this place for a thousand mortal lifetimes but now that I ripped the heart of him, there we were.

Suddenly we've noticed this illusion of Atreus and Modi and it looked like we were watching a recording of how Atreus finished off Modi before in the heart of the mountain. Atreus seemed confused seeing this and was saying it was not him and that he couldn't have done that.

After opening a door solving a puzzle, I found this knight was waiting for me holding a big sword. As soon as we got there, he started attacking us.

I started fighting him using the Spartan Rage and he kept fighting me back. He seemed quite vulnerable but had a health bar. His helmet broke down when he lost 80% health and almost killed me when he lost all that health.

We noticed Baldur up ahead so we better be careful now as I personally don't wish to fight this man right away. But we had to move forward and we had to be careful that Baldur doesn't' notice us.

Baldur was surrounding by illusions of him and his mother. Do you wish to know who his mother is? It's Freya, the witch. How confusing! Baldur is Freya's son but Freya said she lost her son.

From the conversation of those illusions, I understood that Freya did something to make her sick son immortal but that took away the ability of Baldur to taste and feel anything and it seemed like Baldur was not happy with it so he vowed to never see his mother again.

We became closer to the ship when Kratos was asking Mimir why he didn't say Baldur is Freya's son and Mimir was saying he didn't have it in his mind thought that's not normal.

Before reaching the ship, we found some monsters on our way that we had to fight before getting on the ship and I was thinking maybe Baldur would join the fight anytime but he didn't.

Getting on the ship was not enough, we had to use it but I had no idea how to and I didn't notice and steering anywhere so I started burning things around the ship and at last I found something to interact with that kind of started the engine of the ship and it started moving forward.

But suddenly, it stuck somewhere and I had to break down some parts of the ship to make the sail fly the ship. Yes, we were trying to fly the ship not just riding it on the water. The fire that I made by burning things around the ship were being used to float the ship as they were heating the sails.

And we stuck again. Kratos asked Atreus to stay at the boat when he goes out to unstuck it and added that they won't be here for long. Atreus was surprised that his father made a huge sky lantern.

There, I had to solve some tough puzzles to destroy the thing that was holding the ship and I had to wander around for a moment to understand what and how I should've done this. After releasing the ship from one obstacle, it stuck in another when it was floating above.

Then I had to fight some monsters there again before going to the ship and push the obstacle with the help of Atreus and then we were free and we discovered Skies of Helheim after that.

We'll check what happens next in another post.

I'll try to talk about more special moments soon from my play in God of War or maybe from other games.

I imagine it must have been an intense experience facing Baldur and then finding yourself in Helheim. I'm glad you were able to discover more about the story between Baldur and Freya. Thank you for sharing.

Imagino que tuvo que ser una experiencia intensa enfrentarse a Baldur y luego encontrarse en Helheim. Me alegra que hayas podido descubrir más sobre la historia entre Baldur y Freya. Gracias por compartir.

Thanks.

Kratos is OP. He can even resist illusion that Baldur can't resist. Great update. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks.

That knight seemed pretty strong to me. Good luck killing him. Hope that ship won't stuck anywhere anymore and waiting to see what happens next on your sky exploration in Helheim. Good luck on your journey.

Thank you for your support. Let's hope the ship sails smoothly from now on without any further complications though I don't think it'll be easier now that we're in Helheim again after ripping the heart of the Bridge Keeper. @itadori-yuji
