Ellie joined Tommy and Jesse as they planned their departure from Seattle. The peace was shattered by a sudden ambush where Jesse was killed and Tommy was taken hostage. Abby confronted Ellie, expressing her fury over her friends' deaths and the wasted mercy she had previously shown them.
I had to leave Dina behind while she rested. When I was moving ahead through the corridors, I noticed I was at the backstage of the theater. The old props and dusty curtains hung around me, creating a quiet atmosphere before I reached the others.
After coming in front of the gallery, I found Tommy and Jesse planning our next moves using a map. They were discussing the route back to Jackson, marking safe zones and potential threats along the way to ensure a safe journey for injured Dina.
Ellie joined them and she seemed confused as they were getting back without doing anything more to Abby. She wanted justice, though Tommy mentioned they got what they deserved already, hoping to convince her that their work in Seattle was finally finished.
Then Tommy left Jesse and Ellie alone, saying he found a gold necklace that he would use to bribe his lady back home. Jesse was having a friendly conversation with Ellie afterward, trying to lighten the heavy mood before they prepared to leave for good.
Suddenly, they heard shouting from the front and it seemed like they were ambushed by someone. So they started running towards the door to help Tommy. Without warning, the door burst open and Jesse got a shot on his cheek as he entered.
Ellie ducked and saw Jesse lying dead right beside her on the floor. She called him by his name, her voice shaking with shock, but there was no response which confirmed his death.
Then Ellie noticed it was Abby who had Tommy at her gunpoint in the lobby. Abby had hunted them down all alone as she was so enraged that her friends had died by Ellie's hand. Ellie got so scared, seeing her nemesis in person.
When Ellie put her hands up and tossed her gun over, Abby pointed her weapon at Ellie with intense rage. She mentioned she let them both leave once before, then they just wasted it. The scene ended as the screen faded to black for a flashback.
