Yikes. After the sideways trending markets of the past few weeks, there was a sharp and sudden steep drop in the entire market. BTC saw it's largest one day loss since the FTX saga and all the gains of the past few months has now been erased. Despite rumours that the cause of the drop was due to Elon Musk's selling of $300m worth of BTC, that does not seem to have been true at all and the catalyst for this entire selloff seems to be due to the bearish market concerns. Is it a good time to buy now? Or should we be extra cautious? 🤔

On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, it has once again been a rather quiet week. There has been another lore release just like in the previous week and, for everyone accumulating GLX/GLUSD, you now have another avenue to spend them in the form of Splinterlands credits. 😜

But before I go into detail...

A brief introduction before I start though...

Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳

This is now the 91st consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊

No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

This past week saw another End of Season go past us again. I must say the last season has been absolutely brutal for me. Anecdotal accounts from other players and friends have been similar too. It seems that everyone has stepped up their game considerably now that bots have been (supposedly) eliminated from the Modern format and human players are in fact the far superior competition.

None of my accounts even managed to make it to finish in Silver 1 this past season and in fact, after the season reset, I was thrown into the Bronze League where I am still languishing there at the moment. They don't call it Bronze hell for no reason. 🤣

I do intend to let my alt stay in the Bronze League from now on, although the plan is still for my main account to push back into Silver soon. On the bright side, the SPS rewards in Bronze are surprisingly good, better than in the Silver League in fact. This is truly an oddity and shows how many bot farms were removed from the lower leagues.

The rewards I got weren't too bad for my main account. A legendary and a gold foil epic is a pretty good haul. Unfortunately, this is probably the last I'll see of Gold League EOS rewards for awhile. Unless I put in more funds into renting a proper maxed out Silver deck, it might be hard to push into the Gold League rankings ever again.

My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

I have not managed to get any new Nightmare packs to replace all those I've sold. I will wait patiently to get them at the price I want. 🤑

There isn't anything of note to speak of in my Gladius Case openings, so I'll leave it at that. Hopefully something better will pop up after I accumulate enough for another one.

My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Bronze Chaos Legion Fray no. 7✨🏅✨ every week.

Both my main and alt accounts actually performed exceedingly well this week. They both recorded a perfect run of wins, with my main and alt achieving a 3-0 and 7-0 score respectively.

PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 4th place! 🏆🏆🏆

Unfortunately, Guild battles are a team game and regardless of my own individual performance, we did not manage to finish on the podium. It is mostly an attendance problem as we had some members who had to go on a break. Hopefully once everyone is back, we will be back and ready to climb to the top again!
