Sounds like a good one and it's nice to know the history. I think a lot of these companies try to build up a bit of a story around the brand as they have a lot of competition. You can't always believe all of it :)

I actually just got myself a little bit of Evan Williams this past weekend! I haven’t had whiskey or bourbon in a while so I wanted to get some. I would love to get some of these more local ones but they are expensive lol. You get what you pay for for sure but I certainly enjoy the taste of a nice glass.
I was shocked to see it hit 100k as well! I know that things are certainly going to continue to fluctuate hopefully not as wildly as it has been. I wonder what the bottom will be so I can plan accordingly!
I've actually never had a lot of the offerings from Evan Williams, but they have a pretty cool facility in downtown Louisville. I stopped in there a year or so ago to buy special bottle for my buddy. There are some good regional ones out there, but unless they have been around for a while they are probably sourcing their whiskey from someplace(s) else and blending it to get the flavor profile they want. Still good, but not as authentic as places who are offering single barrel stuff.
Yeah we had a vineyard here that sourced their single barrel stuff. It was good but it also cost 80$ for a bottle lol it was a one-time splurge.
The very first time I puked drinking was drinking Evan Williams honey whiskey. It was a rough night hahaha and I was a late puker - I didn’t puke from alcohol until I was about 24 which isn’t at all what my friends could say for themselves. I don’t like getting too far, just right and I’m good.
Those days of drinking until I got sick are well behind me too. I didn't start drinking until I was 24 so I had a lot of catching up to do in my late twenties.
I've got a bottle of Jack on my shelf right now. I haven't opened it yet. Their single barrel stuff is really good and their facility is pretty cool too down in Tennessee.
I still want to try out a bottle myself, I haven't found one yet. I'll have to check Total Wine, they usually have some of the harder to find stuff around here. I love good bourbon and scotch!
Hopefully the downward correction this afternoon will be short lived and we'll see a recovery back to $100K as a support!
I hope so as well about the correction. That will be a good indication of where we are really heading. Is there something in particular you are looking for Whiskey-wise?
I'm always looking for a bottle of Bookers, they used to be easy to find then they cut back production! Eagle Rare is a another that I would like to pick up. I've got lots of things on my list, just comes down to finding them!
Ah yeah, I have never seen Booker's in the wild. Only when I was at the Jim Beam distillery. I have a bottle of Eagle Rare sitting on my shelf right now. Good stuff. I also have an opened and an unopened bottle of Blantons. I'd love to get my hands on some Weller, but it is pretty rare here. I like the wheated bourbons. If you can find a barrel select offering of Larceny, it is pretty good.
Part of the problem is always the regional distilleries that make really good stuff, but it never makes it to California. I've tried Larceny before and it was really good, and Weller is just plain hard to find! Have you ever tired Bakers? It's pretty good too and easier to find than Bookers!
No, I haven't tried it. It's actually been a long time since I had any of the Jim Beam offerings like Knob Creek and stuff like that. I do have a bottle of Old Tub that I bought when we were on the property and I also have a small bottle of the Distiller's Share. I think it's tied really closely to the "little book" offerings. I'll keep an eye out for Baker's. If you don't mind rye's, Old Pepper has some good single barrel offerings and Michter's is always a favorite of mine, bourbon and rye.
I've tried both and I like them! There are few that I don't like to be honest except the very young bourbons that aren't aged long enough. That and heavily peated Scotch, I like a little peat but not a mouthful of it!
And Hive still 30 cent 🙈🙈
I have to take some strong drink also 🦊👌🎅
It's going to be a while before Hive shows any decent movement I think.
Lets hope not , but it be very sad to see we just sit on 30 cent now :))) I had hopes we see also some WOW things :))
It's not even 2025 yet, we are just getting started!
Worth noting that percentage-wise, HIVE has actually increased more than BTC since the US election.
Btc should not take us by surprise going way down to 90k just as it did going up. I bet I wont be surprise if it hit 200k
I hope you are right, 200K would be awesome.
😊😊😊

Yeah, that is probably a good point. I think many of the established one is Kentucky are pretty legit though.

Now on to 200k! 😃
Looks like good whiskey!
Haha, I don't even care about that. I just want alts to pop!
I like jack daniels. But I drink it super rarely. I had the same bottle about 10 years(my dad died at that time).
