CCC's Street Art Contest #180 - "The Templar Knight", Crack Kids Lisboa & Brum, Lisboa, Portugal

in StreetArt9 months ago

Good evening, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Located in the Cais de Sodré area, and more specifically at Rua da Ribeira Nova 62, I found this piece of collaborative art, which fills a wall of a small façade of a first floor building. The bright colors and the more than obvious allusion to the time of the Knights Templar didn't let me miss it. Located in one of the busiest areas in terms of nightlife, this piece almost emanates its own light from behind its monochrome character. Born out of a collaboration between Crack Kids Lisboa and Brum (a tattoo artist), it is in fact a collaborative piece that celebrates the fusion of two completely different styles.

I can give you little more information about the theme, or even about the intervention that was born here, I'm just talking about the impression it left on me.

Strong lines and contrasting colors leave their mark all over the piece

Here you can get a good idea of the size of this mural. It's not very tall, but its bold color composition stands out among the commercial and residential buildings in the area

Interesting how the centerpiece is only composed using three shades, but its presence is central!

A quirky lamp or a futuristic spaceship?

Our eyes are automatically drawn to the weapon the rider is displaying... A sign of massacre, conquest and fear... Was this really what happened when the city of Olissipo was taken? I don't think so!

If you are considering visiting Lisbon, don't forget to choose "quiet" periods... Off season. For the care of your wallet and for having the best experience ;)

Very cool wall with all these details and this knight. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
