The famous Hosier Lane #1

If there is enough interest in this post I'm going to start making more trips out to Hosier Lane on a somewhat regular basis.

For those that have never heard of it, Hosier Lane is a laneway in the city centre on Melbourne Australia that is famous for its street art.

The pieces in the street and constantly changing so I'm hoping this becomes a monthly post showing off the new pieces.

Over time the pieces get tagged over then eventually another artist will repaint a section and create a new mural.

It looks like someone was about to paint over this section and create something new. Should be some more art to look at next time I pass through.

From time to time the council commissions pieces to be painted but for the most part the street artists just self regulate. At the very least it is a great spot to check out if you are ever in Melbourne and looks like it will be a perpetual source of street art for me to share with you all
