CCC's Street Art Contest #76 Padure, Alte, Portugal

in StreetArt3 years ago

For this weeks CCC's Street Art Contest I´ve finally found a new mural of an artist I already mentioned here and if you´re following me since a while you might remember that post.

The artists name is Pandure and he does very simple but huge black and white paintings. The new one I´ve found is even larger as it adorns an entire bridge pier.

Although it looks like an easy painting I guess it´s quite difficult as it is so big.
Imagine you paint a sketch for this on a A4 paper and then bring it 20 times larger on a wall. That´s not easy.

Furthermore I think the message is pretty clear again. We should all put our phones aside from time to time and enjoy life. I know it´s hard sometimes, but going to a beach or on a hike is much more enjoyable when you leave your phone at home.

And as luck would have it, yesterday on a trip to the small village of Alte, I passed another huge mural of his. A cute donkey that fits quite good in the picture of this little village.

Very cool work... It makes me think of people who walk around texting without looking around. I hate them 😀 Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Thank you. Yes me too. Check this, 16.000 people in only 6 years and only while driving. There are stories of people who died taking a selfie at a cliff. Strange world.

What nice that you found another one from this artist. It is such a happy and fun mural. (Even though it has a large statement) I like the black and white. It does speak… and remind us to not be buried in our phones.
Great find. Thanks for sharing @betterthanhome.

That's a great "under the bridge" idea and nicely executed.
