CCC's Street Art Contest #75 Unknown Artist, Portimao, Portugal

in StreetArt3 years ago

Actually, today I wanted to show the painting that I discovered 2 days ago. On the same day I had also taken the pictures for the post below.

But when I was spontaneously in Portimao yesterday, I discovered something new that I really want to show you today. As I already said many many times, the best things you will discover when you´re not looking for it.

Here is another shot from further away. Unfortunately I could not find any tag or any info online about the artist, that is a shame as I always love to know more about the artist.

Absolutely amazing portraits. But now look closer, because the really cool thing about this you will only see from very close.

From far away it looks more or less like a normal painted portrait but if you get closer you notice that it is nothing but black dots on a white background. I really love that kind of technique, not only when it comes to wall paintings/murals etc.

A bit further from this amazing piece I found something similar looking with a name on it. But I don´t think its the name of the artist. It´s pretty cool as well though as it is painted on tiles. We already know, the portuguese love their tiles.

that's the exciting thing about streetart. you're confronted with it when you're not expecting it, and it takes you out of your everyday life and makes you think.
i like this kind of pointillism.

True, as said so many times, the best street art I find randomly. I did not even know that there is a word for it and it dates back that long. Learned something. Thanks 😁

Greetings friend, I hope you are fine, just like you. I really liked this mural. I already understand why you published about it. I think it is wonderful, especially because of the black dot technique. I hope you continue to provide us with quality art.

Thank you so much. Glad that you like it that much. Very special technique indeed.
