Fansipan lub też Phan Xi Păng to najwyższy szczyt Wietnamu, który mierzy 3143 m n.p.m. Można tam się dostać albo wchodząc na własnych nogach albo wybierając kolejkę linową w połączeniu z kolejką szynową.

Jeśli przyjrzycie się powyższemu zdjęciu, to zobaczycie na szczycie kilka budowli. Ta z prawej (taki mały kwadracik) to budynek kolejki. Wcale nie taki mały. Potem, żeby dostać się na sam szczyt trzeba pokonać ok 600 schodów lub... wjechać kolejną kolejką, tym razem zębatą. Po drodze widać jeszcze budynek wieży, wielki posąg Buddy i na samym szczycie jest dość spory maszt. Ponoć jeśli staniecie przy kościele w Sapie i będziecie widzieć te budynki, to znaczy, że pogoda na górze będzie dobra. My niestety nie mieliśmy tyle szczęścia...
Drugą opcją dotarcia na górę jest trekking. Jeszcze przed wyjazdem szukałam informacji czy jest w ogóle możliwe samodzielne wejście w jeden dzień. Teoretycznie tak, ale w praktyce nie takie to proste. Po pierwsze trzeba mieć dobrą kondycję. O to akurat się nie martwiłam, bo dość dużo chodzę po górach. Druga dosyć niejasna sprawa to kwestia pozwolenia i przewodnika. Niby pozwolenie można sobie jeszcze kupić, ale chyba bez przewodnika nie bardzo się da. Oczywiście czytałam w internecie, że się da. Tylko nie wiem na ile to jest legalne. A naprawdę nie chciałabym łamać prawa... zwłaszcza w Wietnamie. Trzecia sprawa to oznakowanie trasy i pogoda. Nie chciałam pchać się w teren, którego nie znam. Do tego niepewne warunki atmosferyczne. Do tego dochodziło całe mnóstwo moich różnych lęków i niepewności w stylu...a co jak będą tam pijawki... a to buty muszę wziąć swoje górskie, ale to bez sensu potem je nosić w plecaku cały wyjazd... a co jak zgubimy drogę...
Można też skorzystać ze zorganizowanego trekkingu, ale to wyprawa zazwyczaj dwudniowa. Także te wszystkie czynniki spowodowały, że niestety nie zdobyłam najwyższej góry Wietnamu, a tylko wjechałam na nią kolejką. Za tę przyjemność zapłaciliśmy 1000000 VND od osoby w dwie strony, przy czym skorzystaliśmy jeszcze z dojazdu kolejką szynową z Sapy do kolejki linowej (w cenie biletu).

If you look closely at the photo above, you will see several buildings at the top. The one on the right (a small square) is the cable car building. It is not that small. Then, to get to the very top, you have to climb about 600 steps or... take another cable car, this time a cog railway. On the way, you can see a tower building, a huge statue of Buddha, and at the very top there is a fairly large mast. Apparently, if you stand by the church in Sapa and can see these buildings, it means that the weather at the top will be good. Unfortunately, we weren't that lucky...
The second option for reaching the summit is trekking. Before leaving, I looked for information on whether it was possible to climb the mountain on my own in one day. Theoretically, yes, but in practice it is not that simple. First of all, you need to be in good physical condition. I wasn't worried about that, because I hike in the mountains quite a lot. The second rather unclear issue is the matter of permits and guides. You can buy a permit, but I don't think it's possible without a guide. Of course, I read on the internet that it is possible. I just don't know how legal it is. And I really wouldn't want to break the law... especially in Vietnam. The third issue is route marking and weather. I didn't want to venture into unfamiliar terrain. On top of that, there were uncertain weather conditions. Added to that were a whole host of my various fears and uncertainties, such as... what if there are leeches... I need to take my hiking boots, but it doesn't make sense to carry them in my rucksack for the whole trip... what if we lose our way...
You can also go on an organised trek, but it's usually a two-day trip. All these factors meant that, unfortunately, I did not climb the highest mountain in Vietnam, but only took the cable car up. We paid 1,000,000 VND per person for a return trip, and we also took the rail cable car from Sapa to the cable car (included in the ticket price).

Jak widać na zdjęciu, to nasze nadzieje na ładne widoki z góry były dość słabe. Generalnie trzeba mieć sporo szczęścia, żeby trafić na ładną pogodę. Przez cały nasz pobyt Fansipan był praktycznie cały czas w chmurach, tylko czasem pod wieczór już się pokazywał, ale też była to pora kiedy trzeba wracać, bo ostatnia kolejka jedzie w zależności od dnia tygodnia to jakoś o 17 lub 18. My wybraliśmy się dość późno, czyli po 13, bo prognozy mówiły, że właśnie w drugiej części dnia są możliwe przejaśnienia.
Na stacji przesiadkowej można jeszcze pospacerować po ogrodzie i zrobić sobie zdjęcia w "instapunktach"

As you can see in the photo, our hopes for nice views from the top were rather slim. Generally speaking, you need to be very lucky to encounter favourable weather conditions. Throughout our stay, Fansipan was practically always covered in clouds, only occasionally revealing itself in the evening, but that was also the time when we had to return, as the last train departs at around 5 or 6 p.m., depending on the day of the week. We went quite late, after 1 p.m., because the forecast said that the second half of the day would be clearer.
At the transfer station, you can still take a walk in the garden and take photos at the ‘Instagram spots’.

Przejazd kolejką linową trwa jakieś 15- 20 min. My mieliśmy szczęście, bo oprócz nas w wagoniku były jeszcze 4 osoby, a gdzieś doczytałam, że może pomieścić 35 osób. Widoki naprawdę były super. I nawet B, który ma lęk wysokości czuł się komfortowo.

The cable car ride takes about 15-20 minutes. We were lucky because there were only four other people in the carriage besides us, and I read somewhere that it can hold up to 35 people. The views were really great. Even B, who is afraid of heights, felt comfortable.

Przyznaję, że mam pewne uczucie niedosytu związane z tą górą. Po pierwsze wolałabym na nią jednak wejść, po drugie zabrakło trochę szczęścia co do pogody. Aczkolwiek nie było tłumów i udało nam się mimo wszystko dość dużo zobaczyć. Bo to nie jest taka góra, że jak jesteś na szczycie i są chmury, to posiedzisz 5 minut i schodzisz. Tam naprawdę można jeszcze pooglądać różne rzeczy oprócz widoków. Wjazd kolejką to też spora atrakcja w sumie.

I admit that I feel somewhat unsatisfied with this mountain. Firstly, I would have preferred to climb it, and secondly, we were a bit unlucky with the weather. However, there were no crowds and we managed to see quite a lot despite everything. Because it's not the kind of mountain where, if you're at the top and there are clouds, you sit for five minutes and then come back down. There are really many things to see there besides the views. The cable car ride is also quite an attraction.
