Hey there travelmaniacs and Steemitians! I am back again for another travel story of mine. For today’s travel blog, I’m going to share about my short exploration to the People’s Park in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
I’ll take you back to around 2016. I was one of the agents of a US-made nutritional products, and I am expanding the market that time. One of my contacts from Cadiz City, my father’s hometown, referred me to her cousin whom her husband have health problems while working abroad in Saudi Arabia. She gave me her cousin’s number, who is from San Carlos City.
I contacted her to set a schedule for meetup in San Carlos City. She suggested that we will meet at the Gaisano Central Mall in San Carlos. From the Bacolod City South Terminal, I ride on a passenger utility van (PUV) with a transportation fee of P150 or $3.00 for a one way trip. The travel duration from Bacolod City to San Carlos City via Don Salvador route is at least 2 hours and 30 minutes (depends on traffic). If I take a Ceres bus, it would take up to 3 hours and a few minutes.
As I arrived at the San Carlos City terminal, I took a tricycle to Gaisano Capital San Carlos Mall to meet my client and eat lunch with her. After my product presentation to her and bought some of my products, she took me to the People’s Park.
It is said to be one of the major tourist attractions in the city of San Carlos. By the way, most of the residents here are speaking Cebuano language than the Ilonggo dialect. For just only P5.00 or $0.05, you can have all access to roam around the People’s Park.

However, back then, I didn't realize that they have a swimming pool. The entrance fee of the swimming pool was around P100 or $2.00. Unfortunately, I didn't have a picture of it.
I didn't have much time exploring the People's Park in San Carlos City because of my limited schedule. I head back to the San Carlos City Terminal to buy some snacks and ride the passenger utility van back to Bacolod City.
