Hello.
I'm traveler @rbaggo
who is finding 'Humanism' in
'Capitalism'

Today, I am going to introduce Singapore, the country that gave me a chance to start my trip and the first overseas destination. It was in 2007, so it was already 13 years ago! At that time, Singapore was different from Korean culture, so I was shocked by its culture. Very clean streets, well-organized transportation, and the culture of eating alone!! It was hard to see in Korea.

The reason why Singapore was so good, was because the street trees were high, so I thought it was close to nature in the city. There are a lot of apartments in Korea, so it feels a bit dreary.

 140.jpg

Another interesting thing was the double-decker bus. It was very strange because there is no double-decker bus in Korea. I wanted to ride it because it was so interesting.

We're called Clarkquay, which is located near the Singapore River that crosses Singapore, is a popular tourist spot. You can take a cruise here and look around the riverside slowly.

There is a statue of Merlion, the symbol of Singapore. It's a sculpture that combines mermaids and lions. Water sometimes comes out of the lion's mouth. Now you can see it on Sentosa Island in southern Singapore.

To get to Sentosa Island, you can take a monorail at Vivo City Station or take a bus, or use a gondola as shown in the picture. The inside of the gondola is a steel plate with a hole in the bottom, so it may feel a bit dizzy.

Sometimes you can watch fountain shows at night if you're on time. The fountain that pumps water up to the music is really cool. There was also a mascot on Sentosa Island, but I don't remember much because I visited there a long time ago.

We went to a steamboat buffet in Southeast Asia for dinner. It is also called 'shabu shabu' in Korea. You can bring various seafood, meat, and vegetables and grill them on a grill.

 149.jpg

We kept eating only this, the butter-roasted shrimp. It was so delicious. It was very savory and delicious. Shrimps are expensive in Korea, so you have to eat as much as we want!

And here, we tried to eat durian, called the king of tropical fruits, flavored ice cream. It was unfamiliar to us, so it was our first time to eat durian. Everyone who tried to eat, failed eating it because it smelled like a gas.

I'd like to try again for now.
