Now this was fun!
We recently got together with some friends for a kayak & canoe trip down part of the Buffalo National River in Arkansas. We opted for a two day/one night trip from Baker Ford to South Maumee, with an overnight riverside camping at Gilbert. While it may have been a little cold at night since it was still so early in the season, it was definitely bearable and a lot of the winter/spring wild edibles were out. Also, the fishing was worthwhile, and we got a nice meal of panfish (mostly Longeared Sunfish). It was a wonderful trip, and except for a few canoes tipping over and a lost fishing pole and phone, there wasn't much that could have went better. Hopefully we'll be able to do it again sometime. This part of the river was 21.8 miles long.
