| Just to get away from the sea a little (but not too much either!) Here are some small shots of the streets of Mindelo, day and night. A coastal town, cultural capital of Cape Verde from which many artist names have emerged including, in particular, Cesaria Evora. What the photographs here do not say is continuity of the music whether at 5 a.m., at lunchtime or at 10 p.m. in the evening. Street art is also very present here and changes us from the "signature tags" without any real artistic inspiration that we experience on European walls. Here, the street tag draws more from art, from the narrative of the country's history, than from tribal recognition without creation. Histoire de s'éloigner un peu de la mer (mais pas trop non plus!) voici quelques petits clichés des rues de Mindelo, de jour et de nuit. Une ville littorale, capitale culturelle du Cap Vert d'où de très nombreux noms d'artiste ont émergé dont notamment, Cesaria Evora. Ce que ne disent pas les photographies présentes ici, c'est continuité de la musique que ce soit à 5h du matin, à l'heure du déjeuner ou bien à 22h le soir. L'art street est également très présent ici et nous change des "tags signatures" sans réelles inspirations artistiques que nous subissons sur les murs Européens. Ici, le tag des rues tire davantage de l'art, du récit de l'histoire du pays, que d'une reconnaissance tribale sans création. Venez vous y perdre, même moi qui n'aime pas les villes, j'y trouvent de nombreuses raisons de trainer par ici ! Mindelo - Cap Vert |
