Aucar is a small island with many peculiarities. The first of them, and the most striking, is a 437-meter long footbridge, which allows it to be connected to the Isla Grande de Chiloé.

I came across some wonderful flowers, called Chilco, which in the Mapudungun language means "the one born near the water".
