Dvacet kilometrů západně od Brna se nedaleko D1 nachází město Rosice. Listopadové slunce ještě dokázalo přilákal několik výletníků do tohoto ospalého místa, jehož dominantou je renesanční zámek honosící se nádvořím se sgrafity a arkádami. Jenže v tuto dobu už je zavřený a kromě několika příležitostí se návštěvníkům otevře až v dubnu. Opravdovou raritou potom je protiatomový kryt pod zámeckou zahradou, který je přístupný po objednání.
EN: Rosice is a small town about twenty kilometres west of Brno, easily accessible from the D1 highway. At the beginning of November, we were lucky to have nice sunny autumn day, so I wasn't be the only visitor of this rather quiet place. The town's Rainessance chateau has pitoresque courtyard. Half of the courtyard is decorated with sgraffiti, while the other half is lined with arcades. Beneath the chateau garden lies unique anti-atomic shelter.
Přilehlé Žerotínovo náměstí ústí do hlavního náměstí Palackého. Má podlouhlý tvar, na jedné straně se nacházejí historické budovy a na protější je moderní, nepříliš architektonicky vydařená, zástavba s obchody.
Radnice s věžičkou se samozřejmě nachází v té staré části. Právo útrpné zde připomíná sloup s okovy, tzv. pranýř.
From the chateau it's only short way to Palacký square, where wine side is lined with historic buildings (including a townhall with a tower) and the other side with new houses with shops. Next to the town hall stands a column, where the convincts used to be tied to. It is a pillory.
Od pranýře můžeme sejít po 105 schodech do části Pendrov a odtud ulicí Zbýšovskou na kopec Trojice s kaplí Nejsvětější trojice. Vede k ní křížová cesta se stromořadím stoletých lip. Po zdolání kopce turistovi náleží odměna v podobě pěkného výhledu na Rosice a okolí.
EN: A staircase of one hundred and five steps descends to a town quarter Pendrov. Above it raises a hill topped with the baroque Chapel of the Holy Trinity. When you climb up along the Way of Cross, shaded by an avenueof lime trees you will be rewarded by a lovely view at Rosice and its surrounings.
