Nikolsk is the center of the district of the same name in the Vologda region. It is located in the south-east of the region, on the border with Kirovskaya. The Yug River flows through the city.
In Nikolsk, all the times I was only passing through and never walked around this town.
And then I had the opportunity to walk around the town at night, as well as capture its atmosphere.
This is where the real winter is hiding! Pure white snowdrifts, snowfall in large flakes, wooden architecture - beauty!
But a little ... just a little bit, my expectations were not met.
I found only one interesting place with two-story barracks at a height difference.
Basically, there is a one-story private sector. Although to be honest, I could not get around the whole town.
And I suspect that there are still very colorful places here.
At first it seemed that the town was quite small, but when I went around a few places, I got pretty tired.
The linear layout of the city seemed a little monotonous.
In this regard, the neighboring regional center, the village of Kichmengsky Gorodok, wins.
