It's great to come across places you didn't plan to go to, places you didn't plan to go to, passing through, those moments where you are on the road, you see something and you just stop for a few minutes to see something interesting. This is what happened to us when we were in the town of Miramar, returning from our visit to the energy forest and we came across a gastronomic fair, a traditionalist center called Gauchos Del Sur.
It is in the middle of the road in a quite extensive space where they offered gastronomy, all of them were gauchos. This term is used to refer to people from a certain area or province of Argentina who are dedicated to livestock and farming.
It is located a few kilometers from Mar Del Plata and very close to downtown Miramar. This made me remember where I come from, I grew up in the plains of a town in Venezuela where these fairs and these environments are very common, lots of cattle, planting, farms and lots of nature, there is a certain resemblance in gastronomy also in terms of meat.
Surely due to my upbringing in terms of geography and culture I am a big meat eater, grilling, these practices are in my veins and I enjoy it to the fullest. As soon as I saw the place we stopped to taste some of the dishes and pork cuts offered here. In addition to visiting other stands of artisan products.
I took some pictures of the place and of the gauchos while they were working on the grill, specifically on the stake, a rather interesting technique or method for this type of food. It is possible that some of these images may be sensitive for some people who are vegetarian or vegan, for those who do not eat meat and are against this.
However I prefer to see this article also in a cultural, touristic and local interest way in Miramar, also as an experience that today I want to share with you.
It's already the middle of the week and I hope you are all doing very well. Many thanks to those of you who have made it this far and have appreciated the article as well as the photos. Have a great day.
