RE: Most airlines no longer accept emotional support animals (ESA's)

in TravelFeed4 months ago

I understand specially trained dogs like guide dogs but definitely not emotional support animals. The airlines have been squeezed on their prices as the bulk of the airfares are taxes so passengers will be reluctant sitting next to animals having paid over the top fares to begin with.

yeah this is a good point. I have noticed when I break down the pricing on my tickets that the actual airline isn't really getting much of the overall price of the ticket. It's actually quite amazing that airfares remain as low as they do given that everyone seems to be dipping their fingers into the pockets of fare as much as possible. What the hell is a "gasoline surcharge " anyway?

Fuel surcharges is an insurance for the airline just in case if the fuel prices rise. If they don't then it is pure profit and is kind of a scam. Couriers and trucking companies adopt a similar policy and is about 5% of the bill.
