Welcome again to another posting of The Poor Mans Travels. Here we are filling up at one of your many Casey’s gas stations around Nebraska. Depending on where you are in Nebraska will change your time at Casey’s. Yes they all have amazing pizza, delicious fountain sodas and friendly workers but, some of these Casey’s are terrible to be in due to the customers. Here in Beatrice all 4 Casey’s in this town of 12,300 people, are fantastic. In Lincoln and Omaha however, can be a different story. Usually the customers at Casey’s in these cities consist of heavy drug users and large transient population. Between freak outs, defecating in the store (not the bathroom), stealing and driving into the building, I would give Casey’s a solid 5/5 for convenience, entertainment, delicious food and friendly staff. Stop on in and say hello.

haha, that's a wonderful post buddy and completely unexpected. I remember Casey's well, they are a mid-west favorite. I went to Lincoln a bit as a kid and I guess my parents kept me hidden from the transient drug users because I don't remember it being like that at all. It was quite some time ago though... That's a real shame.

I work at the county jail here in Lincoln and I see a lot of our big time users/ mental health on the west O Casey’s. A guy was pissing on the side of the building the last time I was there.

O Street. That's a trip down memory lane. You been there long enough to remember Richmond Gordman's? I think that was on O street. I had some friends that lived just off of A street near some big high school whose name eludes me. I wonder if that is still there.
