Yes, wave brood is definitely stronger and the taunt is very useful

Wave brood in the back, in combination with triage is awesome
Yes! A pity, I am missing out on Triage. I do face a lot of enemies with that to understand how insane that combination might be!
You should get the angelic mandarin leveled up. It is the cheapest triage for the water splinter that you can play in silver league. As long as it is not out of print, the price is pretty cheap.
