Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog! When Loving the Moo was announced, I wrote a post about his possible combos. One of the units I found to best comboed with him was Rush Townsend. To better understand why their combo works well, let's take a look at their stats and abilities.

Loving the Moo

Loving the Moo is a legendary dual bloodline, tactics archon that grants Poison ability to Elementals and Canisan. He also gives Burst and Magic Reflect abilities to two units in the team. To optimize his utility, it's best to pair him with Elementals and Canisan bloodlines.

Rush Townsend

Rush Townsend is a legendary ranged unit. He's a huge damage dealer with stats and abilities to support his role as a nuker. He deals five ranged damage and awfully fast with six speed. On defense he has four armor and six health. He's got two abilities that adds to his damage potential. Ambush enables him to take an extra turn before the first round of battle while Piercing allows his damage in excess of armor to apply to the enemy's health.

Rush Townsend is already a huge offensive threat. Pair him with Loving the Moo and he gets Poison and Burst abilities that will multiply his damage potential. With that said, let's see a sample battle featuring the combo.

Featured Battle

The battle is in the top levels of the Gold League. The user of Loving the Moo was shillnasty and this is his team composition.

Halfling Refugee

The battle is for thirty four mana so he used a one mana tank. Halfling Refugee is excellent for this role since he packs a punch for only one mana. He deals five melee damage, has eight health and three speed. He can also heal himself, adding to his survivability.

Taye Loreswift

Funnily named Taye Loreswift is in second position. She deals three melee damage and has Reach and Inspire abilities to add damage to melee units.

Abyssal Elemental

Abyssal Elemental deals two magic damage and has the Resurgence ability. It enables him to resurrect once per battle with full health and armor, removing all debuffs while retaining all buffs. He will get the Poisoned ability from Loving the Moo.

Stampeding Calf

Stampeding Calf is only three mana but deals three melee damage and has the Charge ability that enables it to attack from any position. He also has the Weaken ability, decreasing the health of enemy units by one.

Shock Trooper

Shock Trooper deals five magic damage and buffs the whole team with additional speed. He's ideal for low mana battles since he's only four mana but he has the Electrified debilitation that damages the whole team by two every round.

Rush Townsend

Finally in last position is Rush Townsend. It's an ideal position since he's a ranged damage dealer. He also has great defense against Sneak attackers.

The enemy team was led by Lorkus who adds magic and melee attack to all units. He also granted Life Leech and Affliction abilities to two units. His team has great synergy since they're made up of melee and magic units that benefits from Lorkus's buffs.

Rush Townsend eliminated the enemy's tank in the first round while damaging the second unit with Blast which was immediately defeated. Each of Rush Townsend's attack is devastating, defeating his target while decreasing the health of adjacent units. This caused the enemy units to be decimated quickly and led to the team's victory.

Final Thoughts

The battle shows how destructive Loving the Moo and Rush Townsend combo can be. The combined abilities Poison and Burst synergized well with Rush Townsend huge damage to quickly eliminate enemy units. Another unit that will be a great combo to Loving the Moo is Nephket. Imagine her dual attacks with Burst and Poison. It would be a fun battle to see.
