A Guide to Getting Started in Infernal Coliseum

in THGaming2 years ago

Infernal Coliseum is a game that was introduced on Hive a few months ago, it is a land conquering pvp rpg game, users will have to fight with other users and zone monsters for control of territory and available resources. It may seem a little complex at first but it's actually quite simple and in this post I'll try to make it as simple as possible so you can start playing, but remembering that you'll need to make an investment in it.

The first step to get started is to have a hive account and log in to their official website: Infernal Coliseum

Even if it's your first time you'll have to click on login to create your account in the game, after creating it you'll have to choose which side you'll be on: angels or demons?

You can select any of the 2 sides and the choice won't influence the game much now, it just serves to divide the players into 2 zones.

After choosing your side, your account will finally be created and 32 territories will appear for you, 16 territories of angels and 16 territories of demons. You will only be able to participate in the battles of the side you chose (angels or demons), so you will only be able to participate in the battles of 16 territories.

Each territory has only 2 requirements which is to have XP and cards so you can battle in it, each territory has a minimum amount of XP required for you to battle in it and earn rewards, you can send a maximum of 3 cards per territory.

Now let's start the math for you to understand the investments you need to make to start winning in the game.

Your first step is to get cards to send to the territories and for that you have 2 options:

1 - Buy chests and get strong cards (that means get lucky).

2 - Buy the cards directly in the game's marketplace.

This is a bit of a difficult decision, in option 1 you will depend on luck and in option 2 you will depend on the availability of cards for sale. As the game is still recent and there are not many players in it, the amount of cards available in the marketplace is low and the value is sometimes quite high, so buying chests can be the best option, but sometimes good cards can appear for a low price. for you to buy, so always keep an eye on the epic and legendary cards as they are the strongest initially.

After getting the cards you will need XP to send them to territories and earn rewards, you will also have 2 options to get XP.

1 - Bet the souls token to get the IXP token (1 IXP = 1 XP).

2 - Buy IXP tokens at Hive-Engine

After getting the IXP tokens you will spend them to get XP in the game and that's it, now you have the 2 requirements to participate in the battles in the territories and start earning rewards.

Remembering again that each territory has a minimum amount of XP to participate so if you can't send your letters to a territory it's because you don't have enough XP. In total there are 16 territories and the amount of XP needed to participate in the last territory is 375, so if you have 375 XP you will be able to participate in the battle in the 16 territories.

Now I will give a simple example of how battles work and how you will earn rewards.

I chose the demon side so I can only battle in the demon territories and I will use the first territory as an example where the XP required is 0 (this is the only territory you can battle without needing XP, you will only need the cards ).

I can send a maximum of 3 cards into battle and my score will be the sum of the power of the cards I sent.

After you have sent the cards you will appear on the leaderboard of that territory and will compete with other players for the prizes, the higher your position on the leaderboard the greater your rewards.

The table is reset daily at 00:00 GMT and the prizes are sent after it resets, your mission is always to send your letters daily to the territories where you have enough XP to get the rewards.

This was an introduction to how the game works but there is still other useful information like guilds, seasons and mergers that I will explain in my next post, until the next one.
