GAFSA :
It is located some 360 kilometers south of the capital Tunis and about 70 kilometers from the Tunisian-Algerian border, in a gap in the middle of a mountainous alignment called "mountains of Gafsa", between the djebel Bou Ramli and the djebel Orbata which rises to 1,165 meters.
Due to its location, it plays a crossroads role on the highways connecting Tunis to the south of the country and Algeria to Libya.
