Quad biking!
Happy New Year!
I ended 2021 and welcomed 2022 in with an adrenaline induced bang! My birthday, 30 December, where I gathered my family and convinced them to get muddy with me!
What a great birthday
I came across a special adventure spot, nestled away in the mountains of Harties. This quaint little spot holds residence to a memory I will forever cherish.
Amongst the trees, in a small town holds one of the most breathtaking sites SA has to offer, perfect for a bike of this caliber coupled with picturesque mountain views.
We set off in the early hours of my birthday morning and made our way to Hollybrooke Adventure Farms. After a quick introduction on how the route works and an understanding of hand signals we were keen and ready to get onto the dirt road.
It took us all roughly the first kilometre of the ride to get comfortable with the bikes and before you know it we were undeniably invested, freely in the adrenaline of the ride.
Out on the open road, no one else in site except for the glazing sun and a blanket of mountains surrounding us. Once off the road the real game begun! Forests, mud, sharp turns, hill climbing and ground drops took us for a wild ride!
The hour disappeared so quickly, too quickly in fact and we were back at our starting point. I could’ve easily added another 3 hours on to the experience without realising I had gained the forearm muscles/ pain of a professional body builder😂
