I present to you my cactus collection.

Cactus are fascinating and unique plants that have earned a place in the hearts of many nature lovers and of course mine too.

From a botanical point of view, cactus are succulent plants that have adapted to live in arid and dry environments. As a result, they have leaves transformed into thorns to minimize water loss due to perspiration. They also have a shallow but extended root system to absorb as much water as possible when it rains.

But beyond their biology, cactus can be beautiful and fascinating in their variety and diversity. There are cactus with strange and unique shapes, such as columnar cactus, globose cactus and creeping cactus. There are also cactus with impressive flowers that bloom for brief but intense periods, such as Christmas cactus and Easter cactus.

For me, my cactus collection is wonderful to contemplate. Several years ago I decided to start my collection of this species of plants and I have not regretted it at all, although of the first ones I had there are none left, as a good beginner of taking care of cacti it happened to me with watering and everyone ended up dying, but I got a lot of experience and now I try to water them only when they need it. It’s very nice to see them grow little by little and see them bloom every year, without a doubt that’s the best thing about having plants like these.

Taking care of a cactus collection can be a challenge, but it can also be very rewarding. There is always something new and exciting to learn about these fascinating plants. I hope to continue to enjoy these wonders and continue learning from new species for many more years.
