Flowering of my Trichocereus

I bought this cactus almost 3 years ago under the name Trichocereus orange erlfolo & marchenFee.

And now, finally, I waited for its first flowering.
The flower is simply amazing!
Almost 18 cm in diameter!!!
But, unfortunately, no fragrance.
But some Trichocereus have a lily scent, I would really like mine to have that.

Trichocereus is distributed in Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina.

At home, Trichocereus rarely blooms.
But in Cyprus it blooms without problems.
The duration of flowering is only 1-3 days.

Trichocereus is very photophilous.
Adult Trichocereus are not afraid of direct sunlight.
It also tolerates cold down to -3ºC.

Trichocereus grows best in alkaline soil.

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Thank you very much!

Spectacular! Does it remain small?

Thank you very much!

In its natural environment, it grows up to 6 meters in height.
In pots from 20 cm high and above, depending on the species.
But I have never seen Trichocereus in the yard of houses higher than 2 meters.
I think that in pots they should be lower.

Let's hope so! Many things do stay smaller in pots

Mine is 35 cm high.
I think he is 6-7 years old

Wonderful orange flower! Should make a smoothie!😂

Didn't thought cactus looks beautiful too with one flower touch. Damn that's awesome.
