Competition and exhibition of plants in Cyprus.

On Sunday, June 5, I visited an exhibition of cacti and succulents.
This is the 13th exhibition in a row.
It used to be held annually, but was canceled due to the coronavirus.

Therefore, I expected that there would be many visitors at the exhibition, but it turned out to be much less...

And the reason for this was not the cost of the entrance ticket, it used to cost 2 euros, but now it's only 1 euro!

The fault is the crisis, including the increase in gasoline prices.

A competition was held in parallel with the exhibition.
About 500 plants took part in the competition.

The judge for this year's competition was Dr. Andreas Laras, experienced collector and world-renowned cactus explorer Mexico.

Today I will show you some of the photos, it is impossible to show them all at once!

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

Wow! I didn't know there is a competition for succulents. How do the judges determine the winner, what are the criteria for that?
