Cactus "Dragon fruit"

We have Dragon fruit growing in Cyprus.
But I'll tell you a secret 🤫 that I've never tried it 😉

Many tourists say that the Cypriot Dragon fruit is tastier, sweeter and has a more delicate aroma.
This simply obliges me to try it!

Cypriots eat it chilled, claiming that then the taste becomes more intense.
I'll take this into account 🙂

I took these photos when visiting a plant nursery, which is located in the city of Limassol.


Here they sell not only the plant itself, but also its fruits.

Dragon fruit used to grow in the courtyard of our high-rise building.
And when a friend from Athens flew to visit me, we went at night to look at its large flower, which can be up to 27 cm in diameter. !!!
In Cyprus, Dragon fruit is called "Queen of the Night"
Before, I mean many years ago, I thought that it was a different plant.
"Queen of the Night" is a cactus that also smells nice.
And what about Dragon fruit, I have never seen it and in general it grows somewhere far, far away 🤭
