5G Networking system

5G is the fifth generation technology standard for cellular networks,which cellular phone companies began deploying world wide in 2019. 5G networks are cellular networks,in which the service area is divided into small geographical areas called cells. All 5G wireless devices in a cell are connected to the internet and telephone network by radio waves through a local antenna in a cell.

The main advantage of the new networks is that they will have greater bandwidth,giving higher download speeds,eventually up to 10gigabites per second(Gbit/s).

A 5G network is composed of 3 different types of cells,each requiring different antennas,each giving a different tradeoff of download speed vs. distance and service area.

environmental impact:

Lots of concerns have been raised about the visual impact of 5G transmitters on historically and environmentally sensitive areas.

In August 2019,a court in the United States decided that 5G technology will not be deployed without environmental impact and historic preservation reviews.

Surveillance

Due to fears of potential espionage of users of Chinese equipments vendors,several countries (including the United States, Australia and and the United Kingdom as of early 2019)Have taken actions to restrict or eliminate the use of Chinese equipment in their respective 5G networks. Chinese vendors and the Chinese government have denied these claims.

Network slicing:
The 5G also allows to implement virtual networks (network slicing) create subnets in order to provide connectivity more adjusted to specific needs.

The differences between 5g and the previous networking system follows thus:

First generation-1G
1980s: 1G delivered analog voice

Second generation-2G
Early 1990s: 2G introduced digital voice(eg.CDMA -code division multiple access).

Third generation-3G
Early 2000s:3g brought about the use of mobile data(e.g CDMA2000).

Fourth generation-4G LTE
2010s: 4G LTE ushered in the era of mobile broadband.
Initially what we need to understand is that 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G are all led to 5G which is designed to provide more connectivity than it as ever been available before.
5G is more capable of air interface.it has been designed with an extended capacity to enable generation user experiences, empower deployment modules And deliver new services.
With high speeds, superior reliability and negligible latency, 5G will expand the mobile ecosystem into new realms. 5G will impact every industry, making safer transportations, remote health care, digitalized logistics and more a reality.
