Hard work pays off, a Tale of Epic Proportions

in Telokanda4 years ago (edited)

I see homesteading a lot like Crypto. You plant many seeds and tend to them much like you would plant many seeds by networking and seeing which seedlings or opportunities are worth looking into more. Half the food I'm serving tonight was grown by me and @reverendrum and just like Crypto......some things withered and other things produced a ton of success! By planting flowers just like planting IDEAS!

Bees come and pollinate everything and carry info back and forth. Planning and watching how things flourish is a good thing.

First off I picked off a lot of the plants doomed to fail and stuck them in a compost pile which is much like moving around on projects that either nurture your goals or not. It's hard work and you will get in shape to be able to grow food just like it's hard work to do all the work to build your little crypto world here and figure out who you vibe with. Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe!

I've been active in the Telokanda world which cross promotes and works with many platforms and initiatives and that to me is enticing, just like the food freshly picked that makes the whole house smell yummy.

persistance and hard work and following your gut instincts on what works produces results! photo by @battleaxe

The final results vary on how much you want to get involved or grow your own little hives of win. Here's a picture of some amazingly yummy mashed potatoes. With time and work and creativity tends to get things to come your way that are....good.

It's awesome to just get out in the sun and be surrounded by growing things and get off the computer/phone/screens etc...... it really saves money but it's an investment at first to get it all set up but you know what's on the food , it's a good 'hobby'. Glad to feature your content of course

Nicely done. Yeah! We need to get off the computer and get some exercises done once in a while, it helps us stay fit. Thanks for the feature once again.

💪🤩👍

Great Post, I like how you blend real life with Crypto, which is also real life but Digital! We are transitioning to cyber life at an astounding pace, IMO. I may even seek a cyber job, I hate traveling. I am becoming a home body more and more!

Posted from Telokanda Hive Dapp

yeah I can totally see you doing that, then taking breaks and maybe doing your own 'farm'. When I get sick of a screen I go get into the dirt and it's so .......grounding. I think maybe is just as you say that we are evolving , we have to . thanks for the comment and the happy emojis

it's a LOT of work for not always a ton in return so it reminds me of some crypto then you find some crops that yield like gold which also reminds me of........crypto

Posted from Telokanda Hive Dapp

Gimme that potatoes

Posted from Telokanda Hive Dapp

I so would! I wound up adding some chives we grew into them and Yukon Gold Potatoes are naturally creamy so very easy to just mash up and add some salt /pepper/voila! For all the DJ work yeah all the potatoes lulz

Yay, love it, it really looks good and is going to be a series and theme, Thanks to YOU and CITIMILLZ and all the founders /admins who are letting me do a trivia hour show on Wednesdays! It's good for noobs cause crypto is a steep learning curve, lots of facets and directions. It's about being multi-directional or dimensional

My modest garden is largely berry fruit shrubs in my limited space in the burbs. Soil tends to be acidic from the local coniferous trees. Thanks for sharing @battleaxe

Posted from Telokanda Hive Dapp

nice, I can't do fruit for whatever reasons lol but veggies yes, cool to see you using the Hive Dapp

Homesteading is also a lot like crypto, it’s not for everyone lol some try it and fail SBD don’t go back to it. This is sometimes better.

Those potatoes look so good! My wife would definitely love them, she likes her mashed potatoes.

Keep up the great work on the homestead and here in the crypto world. It’s great to be able to blend between both! I certainly like to post about my hobbies or work and get paid a little crypto for the future stash!

thanks for the awesome reply, they actually are really easy and cheap to grow and you can grow them in fabric bags, they just keep self replicating and with patience and making sure they stay healthy you can get so much in return.

Killing veggies is murder!
Growing them first is veggie grooming!
Where's the humanity?

you know it was very odd to grow them and nurture them then have to peel them, I felt oddly attached to the potatoes before slicing them up and boiling them, it made me have an existential crisis as we share so much of our DNA with even a common Banana , I thought I heard a squash scream when I picked it
i cried

Posted from Telokanda Hive Dapp

I can hear their screams from here..

so
can

I
.

I would say 'starve yourself, let veggies live and help climate change' - but I'm already classed as a hater in these parts apparently - for speaking of facts over feelings.
I really wouldn't want you to hate me as well.

Never forget - VLM - veggie lives matter!

soylent green ........it's made of people!

This is a great post @battleaxe. You should put this one in on the farmer / garden contest from @ecoinstant, sponsored by The Man Cave community from @raymondspeaks.

thank you for checking it out, I'll have to look into it when I get some time which is the most precious commodity of all :) thanks
